The invention also provides the use of the compounds and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof described herein (or pharmaceutical compositions comprising same) for managing or treating a disease, disorder or condition associated with melatonin receptor activity such as pain, neuropsychiatric disorders, sleep, chronobiological and circadian rhythm disorders, hyperthermia, and metabolic disorders.
