A rack has a frame and a plurality of shelves. Each shelf has an enclosing frame member that has two first sides connected by two second sides, a connecting bar that connects the first sides at about the center of the first sides, a plurality of slots provided on the inner surfaces of the second sides, and a plurality of slats, each slat having opposing ends that are fitted into opposing slots at the second sides, and with each slat being connected to the connecting bar. A modular closet system provides reconfigurable closet capacity and an appearance of a customized closet in any of the configurations. The system includes at least two sideframes cooperating to define a space therebetween creating a closet module when assembled. A series of through holes on an inside surface of the sideframes are used to attach a variety of storage devices from the system's sides, which may be re-positioned by user design. When assembled, any of the fasteners used to attach the storage devices are hidden from a front view perspective of the system. Once assembled, the perimeter of the storage devices cooperates with the frames to block the view of the fasteners. Some embodiments may extend closet capacity by including a hanging rod system that connects two frame modules together via the through hole system on respective closet modules, which when assembled also blocks the view of any fasteners.

A modular shelving system with a series of shelves, shelf-support brackets, bracket attachment disks, and hinge-pins. The support brackets are hingable. The support disks each include a series of apertures for allowing the disk to be fastened to a wall or stud. The shelf support brackets include shelf-receiving slots. The hinge-pin is threaded to be screwed into the bracket-receiving disks. The shelves are inserted into the shelf-receiving slots in the shelf-support brackets to create a custom multipurpose shelf design, including for climbing animals such as cats.

A method and system to create a modular shelving or storage unit. Different pieces are provided which are configured to be joined together (by sliding) without using any adhesive and can form a box.
