GASTROPOD REPELLENT FILM AND PLANT CULTIVATION METHOD
A gastropod repellent film of the present invention includes at least an inorganic filler layer containing an inorganic filler and a thermoplastic resin. The inorganic filler layer is an outermost layer. The inorganic filler includes calcium carbonate particles. The inorganic filler has a percentage content of greater than 50.0% by mass in the gastropod repellent film. The gastropod repellent film has a density of at least 1.05 g/cm.sup.3 and no greater than 1.25 g/cm.sup.3. A plant cultivation method of the present invention uses the gastropod repellent film.

ANTIMICROBIAL FILMS
In one aspect, the disclosure relates to antimicrobial films for use on high-touch surfaces in medical, commercial, and residential settings and methods of making the same. The films and coatings are robust and retain activity over time and are optimized to minimize diffusion time of virus particles as well as bacterial and fungal pathogens to the inactivating layers and/or particles in the films and coatings. In another aspect, the films and coatings are capable of inactivating multiple virus, bacteria, and fungi types, can be applied as sprayable coatings or adhesive backed films, or can be incorporated into fabrics. In still another aspect, the films and coatings can be formulated as transparent or can be a neutral color such as gray or white.

Mic reduction with lithium ions
The invention relates to a process for reducing the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of a biocide against at least one strain of bacteria and/or at least one strain of yeast and/or at least one strain of mould in an aqueous preparation. The invention further relates to the use of a water soluble source of lithium ions for reducing the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of a biocide against at least one strain of bacteria and/or at least one strain of yeast and/or at least one strain of mould in an aqueous preparation.
IMPROVEMENTS IN FOLIAR FERTILIZERS
The present invention relates to a foliar fertilizer composition comprising at least one fertilizer and one or more of sun-blocking compounds chosen from the group of kaolin, bentonite, calcium carbonate and organic compounds that block UV radiation. Preferably, the sun-blocking compound is an organic compound that blocks UV radiation, and may be selected from the group of benzophenone type compounds, benzimidazole type compounds, hydroxybenzoyl benzoate type compounds, benzotriazol type compounds, cinnamido type compounds, flavonoids, antioxidants or lignosulfonates.
Natural pesticides, substances and methods of fabrication thereof
Methods of fabricating a natural substance may include obtaining a particulate silica including perlite, preparing a liquid formula having at least one essential oil and preparing the natural substance by applying the liquid formula to the particulate silica.
