The present invention relates to compounds of formula (I) as defined herein. The compounds are suitable for protection against ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Further, the present invention is concerned with compositions comprising at least one compound of formula (I).

The present invention relates to a nanoparticle comprising a drug dimer and a use thereof. The nanoparticle comprising a drug dimer of the present invention can increase the drug content and improve the dispersibility of the drug. In addition, the nanoparticle has increased targeting efficiency. Therefore, an effective pharmacological effect can be obtained by using a drug in a less amount, and thus the nanoparticle has excellent commercial applicability.

A method for preparing isotopologues and/or stereoisotopomers of cyclic and heterocyclic alkenes and dienes is described. The method provides regio- and/or stereospecific addition of hydrogen, deuterium, tritium and a variety of other substituents to arenes, heteroarenes, and alicyclic compounds that have multiple carbon-carbon double bonds, thereby providing discrete isotopologues and stereoisotopomers of cyclic and heterocyclic alkenes and dienes with high isotopic purity and in high enantiomeric excess. Also described are isotopologues and stereoisotopomers of cyclic and heterocyclic alkenes and dienes, such as isotopologues and stereoisotopomers of cyclohexene and tetrahydropyridine, as well as products thereof, such as isotopologues and stereoisotopomers of piperidines and piperidine-containing compounds, such as methylphenidate. In addition, a method of determining the absolute configuration of stereoisotopomers of cyclohexenes is described.

The current application relates to cannabinoid derivatives of formula (I) and pharmaceutical compositions comprising the same. The cannabinoid derivative can be used for the treatment of diseases associated with cannabinoid receptor such as pain, ADHD/ADD, alcohol use disorder, anxiety disorder, and dementias.

Described herein is a perfluorinated aminoolefin compound of general formula (I): CFY═CXN(R.sub.f)CF.sub.2R.sub.f′ where: (a) R.sub.f and R.sub.f′ are (i) independently selected from a linear or branched perfluoroalkyl group having 1-8 carbon atoms, optionally comprising at least one catenated O or N atom, or (ii) bonded together to form a perfluorinated ring structure having 4-8 ring carbon atoms, optionally comprising at least one catenated O atom; and (b) X and Y are (i) independently selected from a perfluoroalkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms, or (ii) bonded together to form a perfluorinated ring structure having 5-6 ring carbon atoms. Also disclosed herein is a method for making such compounds.

The invention provides a plurality of methods which may be employed as a single method or a plurality of sequential method steps in the isolation and purification of Cannabidiol from Hemp plants. It also provides methods for having a terpene-rich fraction as a byproduct of the method. Other variations provide a method of extracting a product from biomass, the method comprising: introducing biomass into a process chamber; mechanically sealing the process chamber; mechanically compressing the biomass to release a first fluid material; mechanically decompressing the biomass; introducing an extraction solvent into the process chamber; maintaining process-chamber pressure from about 1 bar to about 1000 bar, wherein the extraction solvent extracts a second fluid material; and recovering the second fluid material from the process chamber. High processing throughput is enabled with this invention.
