GEL, IN PARTICULAR FOR USE IN A WOUND TREATMENT AGENT
20220023492 · 2022-01-27 · ·

A gel is to be disclosed, in particular for use in a wound treatment composition, with which a particularly high storage stability and long-term stability can be achieved with high microbiocidal activity. For this purpose, the gel according to the invention comprises an inorganic silicate as thickener and an electrochemically activated starting saline solution which has a free chlorine content of more than 300 mg/l. In addition, a colored gel having the properties described above can be obtained by adding suitable pigments.

METHOD FOR THE PROPHYLACTIC TREATMENT OF A FOOD PRODUCT
20210360926 · 2021-11-25 ·

Method for the prophylactic treatment of the development of parasites in a food product with a powder comprising more than 40% by weight of an alkali metal bicarbonate, wherein the powder is in the form of particles having a medium particle size of at most 300 μm, and said treatment comprising mixing the powder with the food product, characterized in that at most 1000 ppm by weight of the powder is mixed with the food product.

Antimicrobial gas releasing agents and systems and methods for using the same

Disclosed are antimicrobial releasing agents, methods of preparing the antimicrobial releasing agents, and entrained polymers containing antimicrobial releasing agents. The antimicrobial releasing agent is prepared with an acidified hydrophilic material with a pH below 3.5 as a carrier, an active compound, and a trigger. The entrained polymer of the invention releases an antimicrobial agent in gas form, such as ClO.sub.2, optionally over a range of concentration from 150 ppm to 1800 ppm per gram of the entrained polymer under certain tested conditions.

COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS TO DISINFECT, TREAT AND PREVENT MICROBIAL INFECTIONS
20210352905 · 2021-11-18 ·

The present invention provides new storable and stable disinfectant compositions comprising use of a solid precursor of an oxidized state of chlorine. The component in the device is devoid of stability issues, since the solid precursors are instantly to be dissolved in a pharmaceutically-acceptable diluent, adjuvant, or carrier, and combined with an activator (e.g. acetic acid or its salts), optionally combined with a viscosity enhancer, optionally combined with a dye. The main product is generated by breaking or opening seals, barriers or ports between an optional number of compartments in a multi-compartment device to mix the contents in the compartments, followed by gently squeezing or shaking the device to generate the disinfectant solution, wherein the resulting solutions can be taken out through a cap, port or opening on the multi-compartment device. The resulting compositions are useful disinfectants for treating a broad spectrum of pathogenic bacterial and/or viral, fungal or parasitic pathogens, denoted microbials.
