CABINET FOR SECURE PUBLIC STORAGE OF MEDICATIONS AND RELATED DEVICES
Embodiments of the invention relate to cabinets that can store medications and medical devices in public spaces and provide easy access to their contents in emergencies while also deterring theft, vandalism, and damage to the contents. These goals may be furthered in connection with, e.g., one or more electronic systems included in the cabinet. These electronic systems may, according to embodiments of the invention, provide functions related to, e.g., summoning help in emergencies, monitoring access to the cabinet, monitoring environmental conditions around and/or with the cabinet, removing and replacing medications that have reached expiry, and replacing medications that have been used or otherwise removed from the cabinet.
LATCH FITTING TOOL
The disclosure relates to a child safety lock mechanism for a cupboard, the cupboard includes at least one movable door and fixed frame, the locking mechanical system includes an external section arranged on the outside of the cupboard door, an internal section secured to a part of the frame, a latching means and a releasing means, wherein the external section is removably lockable to the internal section by the latching means and releasable by the releasing means. The latching means and releasing means are mutually engageable to release the latch, and extend from a first surface of the door to a second surface of the door to effect the engagement.
Cabinet system
A cabinet system for securely storing items includes a cabinet housing, a controller, and at least one drawer unit. The cabinet housing has a locking mechanism, and the controller is in communication with the cabinet housing and configured to operate the locking mechanism. The drawer unit is designed to be releasably locked at least partially within the cabinet housing by the locking mechanism, and slidable within a portion of the cabinet housing when released by the locking mechanism. The drawer unit includes at least one storage compartment, a cover, memory, and a power source. The storage compartment is configured to store at least one item therein. The cover is movable to an open configuration and a closed configuration. When the cover is in the closed configuration, the cover limits access to the item of the storage compartment. The memory is powered by the power source and is configured to store data associated with a movement of the cover.
MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY STATION AND METHOD OF USE
Medical carts and related systems and methods are disclosed. The medical cart includes a cassette frame defining, at least in part, drawer compartments. Electronic readers are each associated with one of the drawer compartments. Drawers are provided, a first subset which each span only one of the drawer compartments when installed at the cassette frame, and a second subset which each span a plurality of the drawer compartments when installed at the cassette frame. Each of the drawers includes an electronically readable tag, which when energized, provides an output including a respective identifier. A computer system receives the outputs from the electronically readable tags of installed one or ones of the drawers and determines, based on the outputs, a relative location and number of the drawer compartments occupied by each of the installed drawers.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PERFORMING LOAD OPTIMIZATION OF MEDICATIONS IN AN ELECTRONIC MEDICATION STORAGE CABINET
An electronic medical storage cabinet includes a plurality of drawers configured with a plurality of sensors arranged to identify a positioning of storage pockets within the drawers. Upon receiving an indication of a new medicine container to be loaded in the cabinet, a sequence of steps to load the medicine container into the cabinet is generated based on a mapping algorithm. A first step is displayed on a display the cabinet, and a determination is made as to whether the first step is associated with one of the plurality of drawers. In response to determining that the first step is associated with one of the plurality of drawers, the drawer is automatically unlocked. In response to determining that the first step is successfully completed, a determination of whether execution of any additional steps is pending and indicated on the display.
Configuration techniques for an appliance with changeable components
The present disclosure relates to a workstation and a technique to automatically configure the workstation. The workstation can be used to perform various tasks including but not limited to medication delivery, collection of medical records, patient care, manufacturing operations, and others. The workstation can be configured by the user depending on the tasks to be performed using the workstation. Various sensors (e.g., hall effect sensors, optical sensors, or the like) can be coupled to the workstation, and sensor operators (e.g., magnets, color coded strips, or the like) can be coupled to the modules. By aligning sensor operators with sensors when modules are coupled to the workstation, a configuration (e.g., size, shape, location, or the like) of modules can be automatically detected by the workstation controller. The controller of the workstation can then adapt to perform certain tasks (e.g., lock/unlock drawers, or the like) depending on the detected configuration of modules.
Portable platform based product storage and expansion systems, devices and method
Systems and methods related to medical cabinets and medical cabinet systems are provided. In particular, they include structure and systems that incorporate or expand medical cabinet systems with platform-based (open access) devices that can assist with managing and stocking of medical products in controlled environments (e.g., rooms having restricted access such locks or key codes to allow authorized personnel). They also include providing convenient expansion to temperature regulated products by adapting refrigerators or freezers using specialized shelf top platform devices that operate inside the refrigerator or freezer by way of the integration of algorithms and/or hardware.
UNDERCOUNTER REFRIGERATOR WITH ACCESS CONTROL
An embodiment of a medical product storage device including an enclosure at least partially defined by a door and a plurality of drawer assemblies positioned in the enclosure. Each of the plurality of drawer assemblies defining a respective compartment within the enclosure. In addition, each of the plurality of drawer assemblies includes a plurality of storage containers positioned within the compartment; and a plurality of actuators that are coupled to a back end of the drawer assembly that is spaced from the door such that each of the plurality of actuators is configured to selectively secure or release a respective storage container of the plurality of storage containers relative to the compartment, and such that the drawer assembly is configured to be removed from the enclosure as a unit with the plurality of actuators.
Medical technology station and method of use
A medical station includes a movable cart and a cassette system. The cassette system includes a housing, a plurality of lockable drawers slidably mounted to the housing, and a drawer manual override configured to allow a hardware key to mechanically unlatch all of the drawers so that the drawers are capable of opening.
