A method for countertop installation includes affixing a mechanical interface to at least one of a cabinet framework and a wall, and securing a countertop directly to the mechanical interface without directly attaching the countertop to the cabinet framework or the wall.

A tool for supporting tiles on a wall being applied to the wall while drying between two countertops. The tile support device includes an elongated body and two longer side pieces that can balance on each countertop. The tile support device includes a ledge or ridge that couples to an angled surface or sloped surface. The tile support device can be positioned beneath a last level or row of drying tiles without having to fasten the tool to a wall surface or other surface therefore preventing damage to the wall surface or other surface from fasteners. The tile support device can be easily positioned and removed from beneath the last level or row of drying tiles that are drying on the wall.

A service tray for use with, and attachment to, a connection box having a flange having a bolt pattern, includes an L-shaped member defining a work surface and a mounting flange at about a right angles to each other. The work surface has an upper, work surface. The mounting flange has a plurality of openings, at least some of which are aligned with the connection box flange bolt pattern. The L-shaped member has an upwardly oriented lip extending about the edges of the work surface. A portion of at least one of the mounting flange openings has opposing edges configured to receive and secure a threaded bolt. One or more mounting bolts are received in one or more of the mounting flange openings to secure the service tray to the connection box.

A sink is provided. The sink includes a basin having a first side wall, an opposite second side wall and a front wall. The sink also includes a rim supported at and extending outwardly from an upper end of the first and second side walls in a substantially horizontal orientation. A method of creating an edge effect for a countertop includes the steps of: cutting a first slab layer to a desired shape; applying a first epoxy resin layer to at least an outer edge portion of a bottom surface of the first slab layer; cutting a second slab layer; and attaching a second slab layer to a bottom surface of the first epoxy resin layer. The resulting edge of the countertop will comprise a striped design of slabs and epoxy. The invention allows for a thicker edge of a countertop with an aesthetically pleasing design.
