Household appliance, in particular a refrigerator or a freezer or a furniture item comprising at least one shelf
A household appliance, in particular a refrigerator or a freezer or a furniture item comprising at least one storage space, in which a support plate is positioned comprising a storage area and a shelf which can be rotationally and translationally moved on the storage area of the support plate, wherein: the shelf comprises a flat storage area which is oriented plane-parallel to the storage area of the support element; the shelf can be rotated relative to the support plate in a first rotational direction and can be displaced in a predefined direction; mutually facing bearing surfaces of the storage areas each have closed peripheral raceway grooves in which rolling elements are guided; the raceway grooves are formed such that, when a force is applied to the shelf in a direction defined in the plane of the storage area, the shelf can be moved, in a movement which is at least partially forcibly guided and which is simultaneously rotational and translational, from a base position into an intermediary position, the shelf being rotated relative to the support plate in one of two possible opposing rotational directions and being displaced in a predefined direction; and the shelf, after being moved into the intermediary position, can be further rotated relative to the support plate in the one of two possible opposing rotational directions and can be displaced counter to the predefined direction and, when rotated by 180°, resumes the base position.
Device for rotationally and translationally moving an object
A device for rotationally and translationally moving an object comprising a flat storage area relative to a storage area of a support plate arranged plane-parallel to the storage area, wherein: the object can be rotated relative to the support plate in one of two possible opposing rotational directions and can be displaced in a predefined direction; mutually facing bearing surfaces of the storage areas each have closed peripheral raceway grooves in which rolling elements are guided; the raceway grooves are formed such that, when a force is applied to the object in a direction defined in the plane of the storage area, the object can be moved, in a movement which is at least partially forcibly guided and which is simultaneously rotational and translational, from a starting position into an intermediary position, the object being rotated relative to the support plate in one of two possible opposing rotational directions and being displaced in a predefined direction; and the object, after being moved into the intermediary position, can further be rotated relative to the support plate in the one of two possible opposing rotational directions and can be displaced counter to the predefined direction, and, when rotated by 180°, resumes the base position.
System and method for retrofitting cabinets with a retractable shelf to accommodate wheelchair accessibility
The invention involves a system and method for retrofitting a cabinet to accommodate wheelchair accessibility, which employs a retractable shelf configured to expand and retract for concealing and revealing a wheelchair accessible space. In exemplary embodiments, the retractable shelf is situated between the left panel and the right panel and in proximity to a floor space of the cabinet, wherein the retractable shelf is configured to retract and expand to reveal or conceal the wheelchair accessible space. The retractable shelf may include a plurality of panels hingedly coupled together, such as a posterior panel and an anterior panel, some of the panels configured to fold, such that at least one of the plurality of panels folds on top of the posterior panel in order to reveal or conceal the wheelchair accessible space. The invention allows retrofitting of any type of cabinet for wheelchair accessibility.
Furniture element
A furniture element, in particular a shelf or shelving unit has at least one storage level, a body, and a bottom plate. Storage surfaces of the body, which face each other, and the bottom plate each have raceways, in which rolling elements are guided. The body is movable relative to the bottom plate from an initial position to an intermediate position and back, wherein, in the intermediate position, the body is rotated relative to the bottom plate in a rotation direction and shifted in a predetermined direction, the raceways of the bottom plate being formed having mirror symmetry to an axis of symmetry extending at an oblique angle relative to a lateral edge of the bottom plate.

CABINET WITH PULL-OUT SHELVES AND RELATED PULL-OUT MECHANISM
A cabinet (1) with a containment space (2), shelves (9) contained in the containment space (2), an access opening (3) to the containment space (2) and a moving mechanism (4) for moving the shelves (9) through the opening (3); wherein the moving mechanism (4) comprises a first arm (5) and a second arm (6), which are sustained by the cabinet (1), cantilever-style, inside the containment space (2), and rotatably about a vertical line (V), said first arm (5) and second arm (6) in turn sustaining a related shelf (9) in a condition rotatable with a turning motion about at least one vertical line (V). At least the second arm (6) of said arms (5, 6) is provided with two component segments (10, 11), converging at an interposed articulated joint (12). Control means (13) for coordination of the motion of the first arm (5) and the second arm (6) which are designed to allow the shelf (9) to travel along a horizontal trajectory with variable orientation of its positioning, in such a way as to pass through the access opening (3) of the cabinet (1). The control means (13) comprise a slider (14) and a track (16) relative to which the slider (14) is movable. The slider (14) and the track (16) are as one, constantly coupled to one another, and operatively positioned between said first arm (5) and second arm (6).

Foldable step
The present invention relates to at least a foldable step. The step features an upper and a lower step supported by a structure including a right side each having a vertical support member, an angled support member, and upper and lower step support members. A horizontal front support member provides support for the lower step. Left and right diagonal support members are slidably coupled to the upper step support members. A rear horizontal support member and optional diagonal members provide additional support to the upper step. The step is foldable into a folded position, by folding both the upper and lower steps upwardly. The step has a minimal profile in the folded position.
