Controlled release, wood preserving composition with low-volatile organic content for treating in-service utility poles, posts, pilings, cross-ties and other wooden structures
Disclosed herein are compositions comprising a dispersion of solid particles of a substantially insoluble copper compound in an amount from 0.001% to 10% by weight of the composition; a boron-containing compound, a fluoride-containing compound, or a combination thereof; and an aqueous carrier; wherein the composition has a viscosity of 125 to 425 tenths of a millimeter (tmm) as measured using a penetrometer, and wherein at least 20% of the particles of the composition comprise particles having particle size greater than 25 microns. Also disclosed herein are methods of making and using the same.
IMPROVED BIOCIDE COMPOSITIONS BASED ON CALCIUM FLUORIDE AS WELL AS USES THEREOF
The present invention relates to improved biocide compositions based on calcium fluoride which are suitable for a broad range of applications including surface disinfectants, additives to construction materials and paints, antiseptic medical and cosmetic formulations, as a crop protection product and as a fast-acting disinfectant. The biocide composition of the invention comprise at least the following components: a) calcium fluoride b) a salicylic acid ester c) at least one organic acid selected from the group comprising or consisting of cinnamic acid, rosmarinic acid, vanillic acid, ascorbic acid, abscisic acid, mandelic acid, mevalonic acid, aspartic acid, salicylic acid, fumaric acid, isocitric acid, gallic acid, quinic acid, boswellic acid, carnosic acid, chlorogene acid, caffeic acid, other hydroxycarboxylic acids, or a salt or ester thereof, or thymol or citronellal. d) a cationic polymer and/or natural sea salt or a synthetic equivalent thereof and/or a cationic tenside, e) water. In preferred embodiments, the cationic polymer is selected from the group comprising or consisting of a poly(alkylene)guanidin or -biguanidin, or octenidin, and the organic acid is cinnamic acid and/or quinic acid.

BIOCIDAL PRODUCT WITH LUMINESCENT MARKER ADDITIVE AND APPLICATION OF SAME ON NON-POROUS HARD SURFACES
A biocidal product for application to surfaces, particularly non-porous hard surfaces or the like, incorporating a luminescent identification marker which makes it possible to certify the presence of the product and therefore that protection is maintained, in addition to certifying its originality using luminescence encryption techniques. This biocidal composition enables its continuous disinfection action 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is formed by the mixture of a biocidal composition and a luminescent additive dispersed therein, wherein the biocidal composition includes a mixture of biocidal agents formed by the combination of 0.5-5.0% dimethyl didecyl ammonium chloride and 0.5-5.0% dimethyloctadecyl [3-(trimethoxysilyl) propyl] ammonium chloride of a biocidal nature and a silver ion solution preferably consisting of silver phosphate glass in a proportion of 0.1-1%, and the luminescent additive includes aluminosilicate metal oxides containing rare earth ions as dopants.
