Preparation of thermoplastic epoxidized polymers and thermosetting materials from triglycerides

A method i for forming an epoxidized polymer is provided. The method may include mixing an epoxidized plant oil with a synthetic epoxy resin and crosslinking the epoxidized plant oil and the synthetic epoxy resin using a curing agent. The epoxidized plant oil may be formed via: converting plant oil triglycerides to fatty amide alcohols via aminolysis using primary or secondary amines, converting the fatty amide alcohols to epoxidized fatty amide alcohols, and reacting the epoxidized fatty amide alcohols with vinyl monomers to obtain epoxidized plant oil monomers.

Method for producing 3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyl (meth)acrylate and method for producing glycidyl (meth)acrylate

To reduce formation of side products and to enhance a selectivity rate in a method for producing 3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyl (meth)acrylate and in a method for producing glycidyl (meth)acrylate. The present invention is characterized by a method for producing 3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyl (meth)acrylate through a reaction of (meth)acrylic acid and epichlorohydrin; more specifically, the reaction is carried out by using 0.5 to 2 mol of epichlorohydrin relative to 1 mol of (meth)acrylic acid, and by adding epichlorohydrin to (meth)acrylic acid in the presence of a catalyst. Also, the present invention is characterized by a method for producing glycidyl (meth)acrylate through a reaction of 3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyl (meth)acrylate and a basic carbonate compound in a polar solvent.

SYNTHESIS METHOD OF GLYCIDYL NEODECANOATE

The present invention relates to the field of organic synthesis technology and proposes a synthesis method for glycidyl neodecanoate, comprising the following steps: S1. polymerization reaction of neodecanoic acid and epichlorohydrin as raw materials under the action of a catalyst to obtain an intermediate; S2. Substitution reaction of the intermediate and liquid alkali by reversal addition and treatment to obtain glycidyl neodecanoate. The above technical solution resolves problems of pipeline blockage and low utilization of liquid alkali in the two-step synthesis of diglycidyl neodecanoate in related technologies.
