A serving apparatus is provided to minimise risk of injurious events in a hospital or care setting. The serving apparatus comprises, a serving member having a serving platform; a rotation mechanism in rotatable communication with the serving member; a stand in communication with the rotation mechanism, the stand having a connecting portion; said connecting portion being arranged to reversibly couple the stand to an item of furniture; wherein the rotation mechanism is arranged to provide reciprocal rotation of the serving member between a stowed position and a serving position. The serving apparatus of the present invention aims to minimise the risk of falls or injurious spillages and may also maintain the healthy orthopaedic properties of furniture during mealtimes, without necessitating an awkward seating position wherein said orthopaedic properties become substantially defunct.

The powered rotator may be configured to move the support and the tabletop horizontally along an arcuate path with respect to a user position. The user position and a center of curvature of the arcuate path may each be disposed away from a forward edge of the tabletop. A method of moving a tabletop of a workstation is also disclosed.

An elongated horizontal lower member below the tabletop member lower surface extends between and is joined to the leg members intermediate their upper and lower ends to form a gap with the upper member. A removable accessory bracket includes a substantially flat vertical member extending along a first plane and a lip member coupled to an upper end of the vertical member, the lip member extending along a second, substantially parallel plane spaced from the first plane and engaging the lower member to support the accessory bracket adjacent the outer surface of the lower member.

Improvements to a desk and exercise semi-recumbent bicycle is disclosed, the desk allows a person exercising while utilizing the desk with a computer, as a table or read a book. The desk has a 3-way adjustment relative to the seat for elevation of the desk, angle, sliding forward and backward of the desk or the proximity of the desk relative to the chair and or the pedals. The desk pivots to allow the desk to be easily tilted towards the user when they are studying and tilted away from the user when the user wants to exit the exercise bicycle. The dimension from the seat to the pedals is adjustable to accommodate these different desires. The amount of resistance can be adjusted to increase or decrease the difficulty to accommodate different levels of activity. A recording mechanism can count distance, elapsed time, calories or other information.
