Shelving systems
A shelving system includes side members that each define a first channel having a slide disposed therein. A cross member extends between and connects the slides. The cross member defines a second channel having a guide member disposed therein. The guide member defines a third channel and a flange. A container includes side walls having a rail. One of the rails is movably disposed in the third channel. The rails include a first locking element and a second locking element. The handle includes a third locking element that engages the first locking element. The handle is movable between a first position in which the second locking element engages the flange and the container is fixed relative to the guide member and a second position in which the second locking element is spaced apart from the flange and the container can translate relative to the guide member.
REMOVABLE APPLIANCE DOOR WITH REPEATABLE ALIGNMENT
A domestic appliance has a width in a horizontal direction and a height in a vertical direction. The appliance includes a main housing; and a first door attached to the main housing. The first door has a rear portion, the rear portion being positionally fixed in the horizontal direction relative to the housing, a door retainer attachable to the rear portion such that the door retainer is locatable at a plurality of different positions relative to the rear portion, and a door skin, the door skin being removably attached to the door retainer.
Storage assembly with a drawer having a drawer pull assembly and a method for locking a drawer
A storage assembly 10 having a drawer 12 and a drawer pull assembly 14 including a door handle 16 which allows the drawer 12 to selectively locked and unlocked as the drawer handle 16 is selectively pivoted about the drawer 12, and a method for locking and unlocking a drawer 12 by the selective articulation or pivoting of the drawer handle 16.
DRAWER SLIDE LATCHING
A release mechanism for a drawer slide latch may include linearly translatable elements. The linearly translatable elements may cause rotation of a lever arm used in latching one drawer slide member to another. The linearly translatable elements may be coupled to a drawer, or be a component mounted to the drawer slide, in various embodiments.
ROTATIONAL BAR FOR DRAWER SLIDE LATCH OPERATION
A rotating bar may be used to unlatch a drawer of a cabinet. In some embodiments a drawer slide used to extendably mount the drawer within the cabinet includes a latch comprised of a tab coupled to an inner member and a catch to receive the tab on an outer member. The tab may be part of a release lever, which may be actuated by an arm coupled to the rotating bar, to release the latch.
Hardware handle assembly
A handle assembly is provided with a handle sized to be grasped manually with a slot formed along a length. A first plurality of fasteners is provided, each with a shank and a head sized to be received in the slot to fasten the handle to a drawer or a door at various fastener mounting patterns. A method to install a handle assembly inserts a shank of at least one fastener through an aperture in a drawer or a door. A handle is provided that is sized to be grasped manually with a slot formed along a length. The slot of the handle is slid along a head of the at least one fastener. The at least one fastener is tightened.
Drawer Latch Assembly With Lock Feature and Improved Installation
A latching mechanism can secure one or more moveable members in a cabinet. The latching mechanism includes a support having a back plate mounted to the moveable member and having an opening extending therethrough, an end cap attached to the support and having a mating stem that extends into the support, and a latch having a leading end that extends through the opening in the back plate and a trailing end having a mating bore that is sized to receive the mating stem of the end cap. The mating bore of the latch defines a pivotal axis. The latch is configured to pivot along the pivotal axis between an open position in which the moveable member is moveable in the cabinet and a closed position in which the latch prevents the moveable member from moving away from the cabinet. A locking mechanism for this type of cabinet is also provided.
INFORMATION AND PASSIVE BIOMETRIC SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Information and passive biometric capture systems and methods. The information system includes a housing having a cavity configured to receive tangible items therein. A transparent, touch-sensitive display device is positioned over the cavity and configured such that in response to pixels of the display being black, the tangible items behind the black pixels are visible through the transparent display. A controller is programmed to receive from a remote server an alarm signal, and in response thereto, cause the display to change its state to indicate an alarm condition on the display. In response to receiving an input from the touch-sensitive display, a keypad is displayed, and inputs thereon are communicated to the remote server. The display can also display personal photographs stored in the memory device. A passive biometric capture system includes a chair with pressure-sensitive sensors embedded within areas contacted by a person sitting in the chair to form a unique passive biometric signature for each person and thereby differentiate among different people who sit in the same chair.
Drawer system having primary and concealed drawers
A drawer system includes a primary drawer and a concealed drawer. The concealed drawer is concealed in a space under the floor of the primary drawer, between the lower portions of the sidewall of primary drawer. The primary drawer moves with the concealed drawer in a locked state to maintain the concealed drawer in the concealed state, and the concealed drawer moves independently from the primary drawer in the unlocked state to allow the concealed drawer to extend from the primary drawer, thereby allowing access to the concealed drawer.
