A cabinet system having worksite-affixable facings, including components for a cabinet frame. The cabinet frame including a left side panel, a right side panel, a bottom panel having, a front top panel, and optionally, a back panel. The cabinet system further includes at least two side facings, at least one top facing, and at least one bottom facing, affixable, respectively, to the front edge of the left side panel, the front edge of the right side panel, the front edge of the bottom panel, and the front edge of the front top panel with a hidden fastening system.

An edge trim for pieces of furniture, including a meltable layer, is described. The molecular structure of the meltable layer contains both polar and non-polar parts. By way of a non-limiting example, an edge trim for pieces of furniture having an exposed edge of wooden or wood substitute material is described, comprising a molten layer and a structural layer, wherein the structural layer and the molten layer are connected in an adhesive bond, wherein the molten layer is made of a material that is chemically modified such that polar and non-polar components are found in a single molecular structure, wherein the molten layer contains energy absorbing additives, wherein the energy absorbing additives of the molten layer are selected from the group consisting of metal oxides, metal phosphates, metal salts of organic anions and combinations thereof.

A furniture leg protector apparatus for preventing stubbed toes includes an anchor base having a base top side, a base bottom side, and a base perimeter. The base top side is placed underneath a leg of a furniture item. A wraparound backing has a backing top edge, a backing bottom edge, a backing left edge, a backing right edge, a backing inner face, and a backing outer face. A midpoint of the backing bottom edge is coupled to the base top side proximal the base perimeter. The wraparound backing moves between a planar position and a wrapped position to encompass the leg of the furniture item with the backing inner face. An outer layer is coupled to the wraparound backing. The outer layer is continuously coupled to the backing outer face and is sufficiently shock-absorptive to prevent injury to a person's toes when accidentally kicked.

An appliance includes a cabinet that has an inner surface. A frame is coupled to the inner surface of the cabinet. The frame includes a frame boss that extends from a bottom surface thereof. A panel is positioned within the frame. The frame extends along a perimeter of the panel. An inner trim member has a flange that extends therefrom. The flange defines an aperture configured to align with the frame boss. A fastener is configured to extend through the aperture and engage the frame boss to couple the inner trim member with the frame. An outer trim member is disposed over the inner trim member. The inner trim member is configured to slidably receive the outer trim member.

An exemplary storage system generally includes a least one back channel mountable along a support surface (e.g., a back wall of a closet, etc.). At least one wall or panel of the storage system is mountable (e.g., via a connector, etc.) along the back channel. The storage system may also generally include one or more of a hang rod, side bracket, shelf trim, end cup, support bracket, and/or shelf. The shelf may be supportable by the back channel, a pair of side brackets, and at least one support bracket. The side brackets may be mountable along sidewalls of the closet and/or to the at least one wall or the storage system that is mountable along the back channel. The specification discloses a method for containing spills on shelving and the like, and the resulting support members made in accordance with the method, by providing the generally flat top surface of a support with a hydrophobic surface which is arranged in a spill containment pattern and which is generally in the plane of the top surface of the support. The majority of the top surface of the support consists of one or more spill containment areas which are of a non-hydrophobic nature and which are bounded by the hydrophobic surfaces, such that spills on the shelving collect in the non-hydrophobic spill containment area or areas and are prevented from spreading by the hydrophobic surfaces.

A furniture spacer having a rigid flat construction is configured to rest on the floor between the base of a wall and a piece of furniture such as a chair, sofa, table, or cabinet and the like to keep the furniture away from the wall and prevent it from hitting the wall or window and causing damage. Since furniture comes in many sizes and shapes, with different degrees of lean from the leg bottom to the most rearward part of the furniture it is desirable that a single such spacer accommodate a wide variety of furniture designs, including legs within a reasonable range of widths and shapes, which the particular shape of the described spacer is able to do without significant effort on the part of the user.
