An exemplary storage system generally includes at least one back channel mountable along a support surface (e.g., a back wall of a closet, etc.). At least one wall or panel of the storage system is mountable (e.g., via a connector, etc.) along the back channel. The storage system may also generally include one or more of a hang rod, side bracket, shelf trim, end cup, support bracket, and/or shelf. The shelf may be supportable by the back channel, a pair of side brackets, and at least one support bracket. The side brackets may be mountable along sidewalls of the closet and/or to the at least one wall of the storage system that is mountable along the back channel. A protective cover apparatus that disposes around a furniture member is provided. The apparatus includes a pair of deformable panels coupled together. Each panel has an outer covering with an inner cavity and an inner assembly disposed therein. Each outer covering in the pair of panels has a front face, a rear face, a top face, a bottom face and a pair of side faces. The first side face of the first panel is coupled to one of the pair of side faces in the second panel, and the second side face of the first panel is coupled to another one of the pair of side faces in the second panel to form a connected panel assembly. The connected panel assembly is disposed around the furniture member so that the pair of panels conform to and extend along the perimeter of the furniture member.

An edge trim for pieces of furniture, including a meltable layer, is described. The molecular structure of the meltable layer contains both polar and non-polar parts. By way of a non-limiting example, an edge trim for pieces of furniture having an exposed edge of wooden or wood substitute material is described, comprising a molten layer and a structural layer, wherein the structural layer and the molten layer are connected in an adhesive bond, wherein the molten layer is made of a material that is chemically modified such that polar and non-polar components are found in a single molecular structure, wherein the molten layer contains energy absorbing additives, wherein the energy absorbing additives of the molten layer are selected from the group consisting of metal oxides, metal phosphates, metal salts of organic anions and combinations thereof.

A toe protection system for protecting toes stubbed against furniture includes an article of furniture that has a plurality of legs. A plurality of boots is provided and each of the boots is positionable around an associated one of the legs on the furniture. Each of the boots is comprised of a resiliently compressible material to absorb impact energy from stubbing toes thereby inhibiting the toes from being injured.
