Polymer of hyaluronate and of glucomannan
The present invention concerns a sphere, characterized in that it comprises at least one polymer of hyaluronate and glucomannan. It also concerns a polymer of hyaluronate and glucomannan characterized in that each bond between a hyaluronate group and a glucomannan group is an ester bond. In addition, it concerns their production process and their use, in particular as a filling or hydration agent.
PLANT-DERIVED PROTEOGLYCAN AND APPLICATION THEREOF
The present invention relates to a plant proteoglycan obtained from gum arabic obtained from a trunk or branch of Acacia plant (Acacia Senegal Willdenow or Acacia Seyal Delile), having a weight average molecular weight of 900,000-3,500,000, and having a total aldehyde content of not more than 2.0 μmol equivalent/g. A plant proteoglycan having physiological activity equal to or higher than that of animal proteoglycan can be provided by the present invention.
Alkali metal salt of carboxyalkyl ether of tamarind gum with improved composition
The present disclosure relates to an alkali metal salt of carboxyalkyl ether of tamarind gum with low fat content and high protein content and other elements like carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen at desired concentration levels. The modified alkali metal salt of carboxyalkyl ether of tamarind gum with improved composition of the present disclosure possesses high viscosity, cold water solubility, and desired particle size and purity levels and is biodegradable.
FUNCTIONALIZATION AND REINFORCEMENT IN THE DRY STATE AND IN THE WET STATE OF A CELLULOSIC MATERIAL BY AN OXIDIZED POLYSACCHARIDE
Disclosed are compounds, in particular based on polysaccharides, that are adsorbed on a cellulosic material, and relates in particular to the application of such compounds as reinforcing agent for cellulosic materials, in the wet and/or dry state. The compounds include a combination of at least one polysaccharide adsorbed on a cellulosic material, the polysaccharide including at least two different monosaccharide units, forming first and second monosaccharide units, the second monosaccharide units being branched on a chain including at least the first monosaccharide units, at least some of the second monosaccharide units being non-cyclic and bearing aldehyde functions, the aldehyde functions possibly forming hemiacetal functions with hydroxy functions of the cellulosic material.
Methods for the production of biopolymers with defined average molecular weight
The present invention relates to a method for the production of a biopolymer, wherein the biopolymer has a defined average molecular weight, the method comprising lyophylizing a composition comprising the biopolymer with native high molecular weight, optionally purifying and/or isolating the biopolymer; wherein the temperature during the sublimation process is selected to facilitate a controlled and defined degradation of said biopolymer.
GEL COMPOSITION AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
Provided is a production method for a gel composition including steps (1) to (3) mentioned below: step (1) of mixing at room temperature a partial degradation product of the galactose moiety of galactoxyloglucan and an aqueous solvent to obtain a mixture; step (2) of cooling or freezing the mixture obtained in step (1); and step (3) of gelling the mixture cooled or frozen in step (2) by heating to obtain a gel composition that includes the galactose-partial degradation product.
Aminated dextrin compounds and subterranean treatment methods using the same
Interactions between aqueous fluids and clay-containing subterranean formations may be problematic due to issues associated with clay destabilization and migration. Functionalized dextrin compounds that are partially oxidized and bear at least one amine group at an oxidation site may promote clay stabilization for more effective treatment of a subterranean formation. Subterranean treatment methods may comprise: providing a clay stabilizing composition comprising an amine-functionalized dextrin compound, the amine-functionalized dextrin compound comprising 2 to about 20 glucose units linked together with α(1,4) glycosidic bonds, and a portion of the glucose units being oxidatively opened and functionalized with at least one amine group at a site of oxidative opening; introducing the clay stabilizing composition into a subterranean formation bearing a clay-containing mineral; and interacting the amine-functionalized dextrin compound with the clay-containing mineral to affect stabilization thereof.
Superabsorbent materials and methods of production thereof
The present invention relates to new methods for crosslinking a polysaccharide with a bifunctional poly(ethylene glycol). The invention further includes the polymer hydrogels which can be produced using these methods, compositions comprising the polymer hydrogels and methods of use thereof.
