WINE-MAKING PROCESS AND PROCESS OF FILTERING A GUM ARABIC FOR WINE-MAKING USE
Wine-making process comprising a first step of arranging Acacia Verek raw gum arabic and a second step of arranging a wine to be bottled, a step of dissolving the raw gum arabic in water in order to obtain raw gum arabic in solution with a concentration of gum arabic comprised between 5 and 50%, a step of filtering the raw gum arabic in solution by means of a tangential filter provided with synthetic membrane with nominal porosity comprised between 0.5 and 3 m in order to obtain filtered gum arabic in solution with a concentration of gum arabic comprised between 5 and 40%, a step of admixing the filtered gum arabic in solution in the wine to be bottled in order to obtain a wine to be bottled admixed with gum arabic, and finally a step of microfiltrating the wine to be bottled admixed with gum arabic.
AMINATED DEXTRIN COMPOUNDS AND SUBTERRANEAN TREATMENT METHODS USING THE SAME
Interactions between aqueous fluids and clay-containing subterranean formations may be problematic due to issues associated with clay destabilization and migration. Functionalized dextrin compounds that are partially oxidized and bear at least one amine group at an oxidation site may promote clay stabilization for more effective treatment of a subterranean formation. Subterranean treatment methods may comprise: providing a clay stabilizing composition comprising an amine-functionalized dextrin compound, the amine-functionalized dextrin compound comprising 2 to about 20 glucose units linked together with (1,4) glycosidic bonds, and a portion of the glucose units being oxidatively opened and functionalized with at least one amine group at a site of oxidative opening; introducing the clay stabilizing composition into a subterranean formation bearing a clay-containing mineral; and interacting the amine-functionalized dextrin compound with the clay-containing mineral to affect stabilization thereof.
LOW MOLECULAR GUM GHATTI
An object of the present invention is to provide an excellent emulsifier. This object is achieved by a low-molecular gum ghatti having a weight average molecular weight within the range of 0.02010.sup.6 to 1.1010.sup.6.
POLYCATIONIC POLYSACCHARIDE AND APPLICATION THEREOF
A polycationic polysaccharide and an application thereof is disclosed. Specifically, the polycationic polysaccharide consists of a polysaccharide and a polyamine compound, and is a positively charged polycationic polysaccharide obtained by reacting a polysaccharide with an amine-containing or polyamine compound. The polycationic polysaccharide is applied in a biomedical functional material of an antibacterial biofilm, a biomedical device, and an antibacterial functional material.
Methods for inducing resistance to virus in a plant, priming a plant to resist viruses, decreasing virus accumulation, or increasing PR1 expression in a plant
The present disclosure relates to fungi, a culture filtrate thereof and a polysaccharide and their applications in inducing or priming plant resistance to viruses. Aspects of the present disclosure provides a cultured filtrate, derived from a fungus belonging to the genus Trichosporon, induces strong resistance to various viruses on different plants.
Leuco polymers as bluing agents in laundry care compositions
A laundry care composition including at least one laundry care ingredient and at least one leuco polymer including a polymeric carbohydrate and a leuco moiety. The polymeric carbohydrate and the leuco moiety are covalently bound. Methods of making the leuco polymer, laundry care compositions comprising the leuco polymer and methods of treating textiles with such laundry care compositions.
GEL COMPOSITION AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREFOR
Provided is a production method for a gel composition including steps (1) to (3) mentioned below: step (1) of mixing at room temperature a partial degradation product of the galactose moiety of galactoxyloglucan and an aqueous solvent to obtain a mixture; step (2) of cooling or freezing the mixture obtained in step (1); and step (3) of gelling the mixture cooled or frozen in step (2) by heating to obtain a gel composition that includes the galactose-partial degradation product.
AMIDE LINKAGES OF SUGAR MOIETIES TO AMINE TERMINATED LEASHES ATTACHED TO CARBOHYDRATE POLYMERS
Provided are methods of attaching a mannose-binding C-type lectin receptor targeting moiety to a polymeric carbohydrate backbone using an amide linkage. The amide linkage may be found between a leash, such as an amine terminated leash, and the mannose-binding C-type lectin receptor targeting moieties. The compounds and compositions disclosed utilizing the amide linkage provide for highly stable compounds with a significant reduction in loss of mannose-binding C-type lectin receptor targeting moieties from the polymeric carbohydrate backbone.
Modified plant gums for preparations of active ingredients
The present invention relates to compositions containing (fat-soluble) active ingredients and/or colorants in a matrix based on modified plant gums, i.e. plant gums that have been submitted to hydrolysis to degrade either the protein portion and/or where appropriate, the polysaccharide, and to a process for preparing these compositions as well as to modified plant gums, whose protein part is hydrolyzed up to a degree of about 30%, preferably to a degree of from about 0.05 to about 30%, and/or whose polysaccharide part is hydrolyzed up to a degree of about 50%, a process for the manufacture thereof and such modified plant gums themselves. The present invention further relates to the use of the compositions of this invention for the enrichment, fortification and/or for the coloration of food, beverages, animal feed, cosmetics and pharmaceutical compositions and to such food, beverages, animal feed, cosmetics and pharmaceutical compositions themselves.
Compositions and Methods of Aloe Polysaccharides
The present invention describes a method for preparing a polymannan extract from freeze-dried aloe powder. The polymannan extract of the present invention is further used to formulate a sterile injectable formulation for the treatment of one or more cancers, leukemias and lymphomas, prostate cancer, breast cancer, and colon cancer, immune diseases, particularly immune related neoplasms, acquired immune deficiency syndrome, and hepatitis C.
