MASTER BATCH PRODUCTION METHOD

The present invention aims to provide a method for producing a masterbatch with improved rubber physical properties such as tensile strength at break, rigidity, and fuel economy at high productivity by enhancing the amount of fillers incorporated into rubber and the dispersibility of fillers in rubber, as well as related products. The present invention relates to a method for producing a masterbatch, including: step (1) of mixing a rubber latex having a zeta potential of 100 to 20 mV with a filler dispersion having a zeta potential of 120 to 10 mV to prepare a latex compound; step (2) of adjusting the zeta potential of the latex compound obtained in step (1) to 30 to 0 mV; and step (3) of solidifying the coagulum obtained in step (2) with an organic solvent.

Animal Toy and Method of Manufacture

An animal toy is provided constructed from a latex or natural rubber material and formed into a ball. The ball is formed of an aggregate of particulate material that are bound together to form a substantially non-hollow construction. Pieces of latex are joined together to form balls, and the balls may be pressed together and constructed by hand or, alternatively, pressed into molds. By constructing the balls by hand, no two balls, even balls of similar size, are identical. Each ball has irregular outer surface that forms a variety of resilient protuberances that provide beneficial oral hygiene effects when chewed or rubbed against the teeth.

SOLIDIFICATION OF A NATURAL RUBBER LATEX BY POLYQUATERNARY POLYMERS

The present invention relates to a solidification process of the natural rubber latex by means of polyquaternary polymers. The process of the present invention has the advantage to not require the addition of acids and/or salts, with an evident saving in terms of cost for the reagents. Furthermore, in such a way neither the neutralization step of the rubber nor the treatment of the processing water before their disposal are required. The process of the present invention is suitable both for the continuous and batchwise embodiment, with evident advantages as far as its industrial application is concerned.
