Polymers comprising at least one unit of formula (1) wherein n is 0 or 1, m and p are independently from each other 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6, provided that the sum of n, m and p is at least 2, and n and p are not 0 at the same time, Ar.sup.1 and Ar.sup.2 are independently from each other C.sub.6-14-arylene or C.sub.6-14-aryl, which may be substituted with 1 to 4 substituents independently selected from the group consisting of C.sub.1-30-alkyl, C.sub.2-30-alkenyl, C.sub.2-30-alkynyl, C.sub.5-8-cycloalkyl, C.sub.6-14-aryl and 5 to 14 membered heteroaryl, and X.sup.1, X.sup.2 and X.sup.3 are independently from each other and at each occurrence O or S, compositions comprising these polymers, and electronic devices comprising a layer formed from the compositions. TREHALOSE HYDROGELS FOR STABILIZATION AND DELIVERY OF PROTEINS
Trehalose-based hydrogels and methods of making such hydrogels are disclosed. Specifically, a method of creating a trehalose-based hydrogel, comprising the steps of: a) forming a trehalose homopolymer or co-polymer; b) preparing a cross-linker; and c) reacting the trehalose homopolymer or co-polymer with the cross-linker to form the trehalose-based hydrogel.

Provided are a monofunctional phenolic compound used for producing an active ester resin capable of forming a cured product having excellent dielectric properties and excellent heat resistance, an active ester resin and a method for producing the active ester resin, and a thermosetting resin composition and a cured product of the thermosetting resin composition. Specifically, provided are a monofunctional phenolic compound including one or more vinylbenzyl groups and an active ester resin including a vinylbenzyl structure attached to a terminal group of the molecular chain and derived from the monofunctional phenolic compound. The vinylbenzyl structure preferably includes a vinylbenzyl-modified aryloxycarbonyl group.
METHOD OF PURIFYING MONOMER COMPOSITION AND METHOD OF PRODUCING POLYMER
Provided is a method of purifying a monomer composition that contains a polycyclic aromatic vinyl compound including at least two monocycles selected from the group consisting of aromatic hydrocarbon monocycles and aromatic heteromonocycles. The purification method includes an impurity removal step of removing at least sulfur from the monomer composition.
CATIONIC PARTICLES COMPRISING CYCLOPROPENIUM, THEIR PREPARATION AND USES
Embodiments of the present invention provides compounds, compositions, and methods for their preparation or synthesis that provide polymer-based cationic particles, such as, e.g., polymer-nucleic acid complexes, for delivering molecules including biomolecules, which is particularly desirable in gene therapy. Inventive materials include positively-charged linear homopolymers and block copolymers by living free radical polymerization, and polymer-based particles by emulsion polymerization. These polymers and particles may be conjugated with a wide range of biomolecules, and may deliver molecules, including, drug molecules, contrast agents, dyes, and the like, by loading them into the interior of the particles prior to polymerization. These conjugated and/or labeled polymers and particles may be delivered to cells to administer their cargo and achieve a therapeutic response. Additional embodiments may be directed to the methods of synthesizing and using the compounds and compositions, as well as kits comprising the compounds, compositions, and formulations, and desired molecules for delivery.
