Method for preparing high-melt-strength polypropylene resin

Disclosed is a method using a metallocene catalyst system so as to control the polymer structure of a diene-modified polypropylene through process simplification, thereby being capable of preparing a hyperbranched polypropylene resin having a low gel content and improved melt strength. The present invention provides a method using a catalyst so as to polymerize propylene and a diene compound, thereby preparing a diene-modified polypropylene resin having a branching index of 0.95 or less, a gel content of 3 wt % or less and an advanced rheometric expansion system (ARES) melt strength of 5 g or more.

Process for Producing Polymer Compositions

Processes are provided which include copolymerization using one or both of a metallocene catalyst capable of producing high molecular weight polymers and a metallocene catalyst capable of producing polymers having 60% or more vinyl terminations. Polymerization processes include dual catalyst polymerization in a single polymerization zone comprising both metallocene catalysts. Other processes include serial or parallel polymerizations in multiple polymerization zones, using either or both catalysts in each polymerization zone. Such polymerization processes produce reactor blends, and are particularly suited for producing copolymer compositions (such as EP or EPDM copolymer compositions) exhibiting improved melt elasticity and rheological properties.

SILICONE-MODIFIED POLYIMIDE RESIN COMPOSITION OF SOLVENT FREE TYPE

Disclosed herein is a silicone-modified polyimide resin composition of solvent free type. The composition is suitable for use as an adhesive and a coating material which are capable of hardening upon irradiation with ultraviolet rays and/or visible rays. Also, it is saved from drooling even in the case of light filling with an inorganic compound and it is saved from bubble entrapment and nonuniformity at the time of application with heavy filling. It further exhibits good moldability due to its thixotropic properties. Moreover, it exhibits improved adhesion to polyolefin resins without impairing the past properties. Finally, it gives rise to a cured product which is not excessively hard, with a low elastic modulus, despite filling with an inorganic compound. The composition of the present invention includes components (A) to (B) listed below and is characterized by being fluid at 25° C. and free of solvent: (A) silicone-modified polyimide resin; (B) polymerizable compound; (C) polymerization initiator, (D) hydrophobic fumed silica; and (E) adhesion auxiliary agent.

Acrylic composition, formed body, key sheet of mobile telephone, and light guide

An acrylic composition, which has excellent flexibility at low temperature and can form a formed body whose adhesion at room temperature is suppressed, the formed body of the acrylic composition, a key sheet of a mobile telephone, and a light guide obtained from the formed body are provided. The acrylic composition contains specific long chain di(meth)acrylate (A) and mono(meth)acrylate (B), and the glass-transformation temperature (TgDMS) of the polymer of the acrylic composition is 40° C. or less. The formed body is obtained by polymerization of the acrylic composition, and the key sheet of the mobile telephone and the light guide are obtained from the formed body.

Hydrophobic diacrylamide compound

A silyl protected diacrylamide compound is described. A method of forming such a compound includes mixing a silylation reagent with a hydroxylated diamine compound under first reactive conditions to form a product in a first solution, separating the product from the first solution, and mixing the product with acryloyl chloride under second reactive conditions in a second solution to form a silyl protected diacrylamide compound.
