Provided is a coating material composition that enables an efficient repair operation of a coating film after coating, a (meth)acrylic copolymer that is suitable for obtaining the coating material composition, and a coated article and a method for forming a multilayer coating film using the coating material composition. The (meth)acrylic copolymer includes: a constituent unit derived from a macromonomer (a); and a constituent unit derived from a vinyl monomer (b), a hydroxyl value of the (meth)acrylic copolymer is equal to or greater than 120 mgKOH/g and equal to or less than 260 mgKOH/g, and the content of a constituent unit that has a primary hydroxyl group of the (meth)acrylic copolymer is equal to or less than 30 parts by mass with respect to 100 parts by mass of the constituent unit derived from the macromonomer (a) and the constituent unit derived from the vinyl monomer (b).

The block copolymer includes a polystyrene block having a styrene unit, and a polyalkyl (meth)acrylate block having an alkyl (meth)acrylate unit. [Solution] An acrylic block copolymer (I) contains at least two polymer blocks (A) containing methacrylic acid ester units and at least one polymer block (B) containing acrylic acid ester units, wherein the acrylic block copolymer (I) has structure of blocks (A)-(B)-(A), a weight average molecular weight (Mw) ranging from 30,000 to 100,000 and a melt viscosity of not more than 100,000 mPa.Math.s, the melt viscosity being measured at 100? C. with a Brookfield viscometer.

A composition for film formation includes a polymer and a solvent. The polymer includes a first repeating unit, a second repeating unit, a third repeating unit, and a structural unit on at least one end of a main chain of the polymer. The first repeating unit includes a crosslinkable group. The second repeating unit differs from the first repeating unit. The third repeating unit differs from the first repeating unit and has higher polarity than polarity of the second repeating unit. The structural unit includes an interacting group capable of interacting with SiOH, SiH or SiN.

A pattern-forming method includes forming a base pattern having recessed portions on a front face side of a substrate directly or via other layer. The recessed portions of the base pattern are filled with a first composition to form a filler layer. Phase separation of the filler layer is allowed to form a plurality of phases of the filler layer. A part of the plurality of phases of the filler layer is removed to form a miniaturized pattern. The forming of the base pattern includes: forming a resist pattern on the front face side of the substrate; forming a layer of a second polymer on lateral faces of the resist pattern; and forming a layer of a third polymer that differs from the second polymer on a surface of the substrate or on a surface of the other layer.

A resin composite, a method of producing the resin composite, a molded product, a film, and an article excellent in impact resistance are provided. The resin composite contains a methacrylic resin (A), which contains no less than 80% by mass of a structural unit derived from methyl methacrylate and has a melt viscosity (A) of 1500 to 3500 Pa.Math.s at 220 C. and a shear rate of 122/sec, and a triblock copolymer (B), which has a methacrylic acid ester polymer block (b2) coupled to each of two ends of an acrylic acid ester polymer block (b1), at a specific ratio. The triblock copolymer (B) includes the block (b1) and the block (b2) at a specific ratio and has a melt viscosity (B) of 75 to 1500 Pa.Math.s at 220 C. and a shear rate of 122/sec. The ratio of (A)/(B) is from 1 to 20.

A method for producing pellets (D) including an acrylic block copolymer (A) includes bringing raw pellets of an acrylic block copolymer (A) into contact with an aqueous dispersion (C) containing acrylic resin particles (B) and no surfactants, the acrylic block copolymer (A) including at least one polymer block (a1) including acrylic acid alkyl ester units and at least one polymer block (a2) including methacrylic acid alkyl ester units, and removing water attached to the pellets.

A method of producing a triblock copolymer, the method including reacting a diblock copolymer that contains a first block formed from a repeating structure including a constituent unit containing an aromatic hydrocarbon group, and a second block formed from a repeating structure including a constituent unit derived from an ?-substituted acrylic acid ester with a homopolymer that contains a third block formed from a repeating structure including a constituent unit containing an aromatic hydrocarbon group and containing a hydroxy group bonded to a terminal of a main chain in the third block to obtain a triblock copolymer, in which the reaction is transesterification of the constituent unit derived from an (?-substituted) acrylic acid ester at a terminal of a main chain of the diblock copolymer with the homopolymer.
