Molecularly imprinted polymer of sol-gel type for selectively trapping odorous molecules
The invention relates to the use of molecularly imprinted polymer(s) or MIPs, of odorous molecule(s), as deodorant agent in particular for selectively trapping molecules that are the cause of human body odour. More particularly by using MIPs which may be obtained via polymerization of “sol-gel” type; it being understood that the polymerization is performed in the presence v) of one or more “templates” of target molecule(s) responsible for human body odour. Another subject of the invention concerns a NI process for preparing MIPs as defined previously, MIPs obtained via this process, and a cosmetic composition comprising at least one MIP as defined previously. Unexpectedly, it appears that the MIPs make it possible to specifically trap precursors of odorous molecules and odorous molecules that may be used in cosmetic formulations, especially those that are the cause of the unpleasant odour of sweat.

Method for producing silicone emulsions
A method for producing aqueous silicone emulsions containing highly viscous polyorganosiloxanes having a low content of cyclic siloxanes in several steps; the addition of acidic compounds intended to catalyze polycondensation of the polyorganosiloxanes being carried out only after an emulsion is produced in the first step exclusively with nonionogenic emulsifiers, without impairing the rate of the polycondensation reaction.
Method for preparing organopolysiloxane emulsion composition
An organopolysiloxane emulsion composition having good age stability is prepared by (I) emulsifying a mixture comprising (A) an organopolysiloxane of formula: HO(R.sup.1.sub.2SiO).sub.nH, (B) a surfactant and (C-1) water to form a first emulsion composition and (II) effecting emulsion polymerization of the first emulsion composition in the presence of (D) an acid catalyst below 40° C. The target emulsion composition contains an organopolysiloxane product having a viscosity≧300,000 mPa.Math.s at 25° C. and an octamethylcyclotetrasiloxane content≦3,000 ppm, and has an emulsified particle size≦500 nm.

A METHOD FOR PREPARING POLYORGANOSILOXANES
The present disclosure relates to a method for preparing polyorganosiloxanes, comprising the following steps: a) reacting together a hydroxyl-terminated polysiloxane and a dialkoxysilane or an oligomer thereof in the presence of Catalyst 1, and b) reacting the product of Step a) with an endcapper in the presence of Catalyst 2 to form the polyorganosiloxane. According to this method, poly-organosiloxanes with an appropriate degree of the polymerization and viscosity are prepared by the polycondensation and equilibration reactions sequentially, and can significantly reduce the viscosity, and improve the flowability and thermal conductivity of the resulting silicone compositions, compared with other polysiloxanes at the same high thermally conductive filler loading.
Method for continuously producing low-alkoxy branched siloxanes
Branched organopolysiloxanes and organopolysiloxanes with low alkoxy content are produced in a first reaction unit by continuous feed of organohalosilanes and alcohol to a reaction vessel surmounted by a distillation column, the vessel containing an excess of water relative to the halogen content of the organohalosilanes. A second reaction unit for removing volatiles from the product from the first reaction unit is also preferably employed.
