SILICONE-CONTAINING POLYURETHANE RESIN COMPOSITION AND SILICONE-CONTAINING POLYURETHANE RESIN CURED PRODUCT, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SILICONE-CONTAINING POLYURETHANE UREA RESIN CURED PRODUCT
Provided is a silicone-containing polyurethane resin composition including: an isocyanate group-terminated, NCO-terminated modified silicone prepolymer obtained by allowing a first polyisocyanate to undergo reaction with a modified silicone containing at least one hydroxyl group at a terminal; a silicone oil; and an isocyanate group-terminated, NCO-terminated urethane prepolymer obtained by allowing a second polyisocyanate to undergo reaction with polyol, wherein reactivity of the first polyisocyanate with a curing agent is higher than reactivity of the second polyisocyanate with a curing agent.
Anti-smudge and Anti-graffiti Compositions
Polyurethane-based and epoxy-based coating compositions are described that provide coatings and adhesives that are clear, amphiphobic and durable. Both water and hexadecane readily slide off these surfaces without leaving a residue. Coatings with thicknesses ranging from about 10 nm to about 10 μm exhibited excellent transmittance properties. Such films exhibited durability against abrasion, ink-resistance, anti-graffiti, anti-fingerprint, and strong adhesion to glass surfaces. The coatings are applicable to electronic devices, fabrics, glass, etc. to prepare optically clear, stain-resistant, and smudge-resistant surfaces.
Macromonomer based light-curable dental impression material
A light-curable dental impression material comprising (a) a polymerizable polysiloxane resin composition comprising compounds of formula (I)
E-(L.sup.1-Z).sub.n-L.sup.2-E (I)
(b) a particulate filler; and
(c) a photoinitiator.
Polymer compositions comprising siloxane-organo-copolymers
Polymer compositions containing a polyamide polymer and a high molecular weight organopolysiloxane copolymer containing amide, urethane, urea, or thiourea groups exhibit high tensile strength but are soft elastomeric thermoplastics.
ADHESIVE COMPOSITION COMPRISING A POLYURETHANE AND A CATIONIC DOPANT
An adhesive composition comprising a polyurethane and a cationic polymeric dopant or a polymerizable cationic dopant may be used to form one or more adhesive layers of electro-optic assemblies. They enable improved electro-optic performance of the corresponding electro-optic devices even at low temperatures.
POLYSILOXANE POLYMER
The invention relates to the use of a polymer for improving the clean-ability of a surface coating or for reducing the dirt pick up of a surface coating, wherein the polymer is a a non-crosslinked polymer having a polymer main chain comprising i) polysiloxane segments comprising repeating units of the formula (I) wherein R 1 independent of each occurrence represents a hydrocarbyl group and n is an integer in the range of 6 to 150, and ii) non-polysiloxane segments having at least one functional group comprising at least one of hydroxyl group, acryloyl group, methacryloyl group, acetyl group, urethane group, and methyl ether group, wherein the number of links between non-polysiloxane segments and polysiloxane segments in the polymer is less than 9.5%, calculated on the average number of silicon atoms per polysiloxane segment, and wherein at least one non-polysiloxane segment is located between two polysiloxane segments.
