POLYOL PREMIXES, THERMALLY INSULATING RIGID POLYURETHANE FOAMS AND METHODS FOR THEIR PRODUCTION
Polyol premixes and thermally insulating rigid polyurethane foams, such as those that can be used as a thermal insulation medium in the construction of refrigerated storage devices, are disclosed. A polymer polyol having a OH number of greater than 260 mg KOH/g is utilized. The resulting polyurethane foams can exhibit improved thermal insulation properties without sacrificing other important physical and processing properties.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING FLAME RETARDANT POLYURETHANE FOAMS USING HALOGEN-FREE FLAME RETARDANTS
The present invention relates to a process for producing flame-retarded polyurethane foams, in particular flexible polyurethane foams, using halogen-free flame retardants, wherein the resulting flame-retarded polyurethane foams exhibit low emission values coupled with good mechanical properties. The present invention further relates to halogen-free flame retardants.
BIO-RENEWABLE POLYURETHANE FOAM FOR CONSUMER CLEANING APPLICATIONS
Disclosed is a polyurethane foam and a method of preparing the same which utilizes only bio-renewable polyols and no petroleum derived polyols. The polyol is derived from a bio-renewable source and has a bio-renewable content of at least 70% by weight. The produced foams have mechanical and performance properties that are equal to or exceed those of similar polyurethane foams produced using petroleum derived polyols. The foams are preferably formed into sponges and other cleaning products for use by consumers and in industrial settings.
FLAME-RETARDANT URETHANE RESIN COMPOSITION
The flame-retardant urethane resin composition contains a polyisocyanate compound, a polyol compound, a trimerization catalyst, a blowing agent, and an additive, wherein the additives include red phosphorus and a filler, and the filler has an aspect ratio of 5 to 50, an average particle diameter of 0.1 μm or larger, but smaller than 15 μm, and a melting point of 750° C. or higher.
Production of melamine-formaldehyde foams
A process for producing a melamine-formaldehyde foam by heating and foaming an aqueous mixture M using microwave radiation, said mixture M comprising at least one melamine-formal-dehyde precondensate, at least one curative, at least one surfactant, at least one blowing agent and at least one linear polymer with a number average molecular weight M.sub.n in the range from 500 to 10,000 g/mol and at least two functional groups selected from OH, NH.sub.2 or COOH as well as a melamine-formaldehyde foam obtainable by this process and its use.
PIPA polyol based viscoelastic foams
Viscoelastic foam is made by reacting an isocyanate compound with water and a polyol mixture. The polyol mixture contains a dispersion of polyurethane or polyurethane-urea particles in a carrier polyol (a PIPA polyol) and at least one other polyol that is a homopolymer of propylene oxide or a copolymer of 20 to 99.9 weight-% propylene oxide and 0.1 to 80 weight-% ethylene oxide, has 2 to 4 hydroxyl groups per molecule and has a hydroxyl equivalent weight of 200 to 400. The VE foams are characterized by high airflows and long recovery times.
METHOD FOR PRODUCING VISCOELASTIC POLYURETHANE FOAMS
The present invention relates to a method for producing a viscoelastic polyurethane soft foam. The invention further relates to a viscoelastic polyurethane soft block foam or viscoelastic polyurethane soft molded foam having particularly high tensile strengths, which are produced by the method according to the invention, and to the use of said foams. The present invention further relates to polyol compositions which are suitable for the production of viscoelastic polyurethane foams.
FLAME RETARDANT SLABSTOCK POLYURETHANE FOAM COMPOSITION
A flame retarded slabstock polyurethane foam composition including polyol and polyisocyanate as main materials, and an additive for forming a general polyurethane foam except for a flame retarded agent, in which the polyol may be polyether polyol and may include 10 to 45 wt % of polyether polyol (A) having a weight-average molecular weight of 2,000 to 5,000 g/mol and 55 to 90 wt % of polyether polyol (B) having a weight-average molecular weight of 600 to 1,500 g/mol, and an isocyanate index of the composition defined by Equation 1 may be in a range of 70 to 95, and Equation 1 may be Isocyanate index=mole of isocyanate group (NCO)/mole of hydroxyl group (OH)×100.
NON-ISOCYANATE POLYURETHANE PRODUCTS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
The present disclosure relates to a method for making a non-isocyanate polyurethane (NIPU) foam, where the method includes decomposing a blowing agent having at least one of an amine carbamate salt and/or an amine bicarbonate salt to form a diamine and CO.sub.2 in the presence of a molecule comprising a plurality of cyclic carbonate functional groups and reacting the diamine with at least a portion of the cyclic carbonate functional groups to form the NIPU foam. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the reacting and the decomposing may occur at substantially the same rate.
