METHODS OF FORMING DYNAMIC CROSS-LINKED POLYMER COMPOSITIONS USING FUNCTIONAL CHAIN EXTENDERS UNDER BATCH PROCESS
Provided herein are methods for preparing dynamic cross-linked polymer compositions derived from an ester oligomer component, a chain extender component, and one or more of a transesterification or poly condensation catalyst are described. The dynamic cross-linked polymer compositions may be prepared via melt poly condensation.
CARBONATE-CONTAINING OLIGOMER, MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF, AND CROSSLINKED PRODUCT
A carbonate-containing oligomer, a manufacturing method for a carbonate-containing oligomer and a crosslinked product are provided. The carbonate-containing oligomer includes a structure represented by formula (I), and formula (I) is defined as in the specification. The crosslinked product is obtained by mixing the carbonate-containing oligomer with a modified polyphenylene ether resin, and adding a peroxide to perform a curing reaction.
LECITHIN-BASED SPRAY ADJUVANT CONTAINING ORGANOSILICON WETTING AGENTS
An adjuvant composition contains lecithin and an organosilicon surfactant as defined herein.
METHOD FOR ISOLATING A PHENYLENE ETHER OLIGOMER COMPOSITION AND PHENYLENE ETHER OLIGOMER COMPOSITION
A method for isolating a phenylene ether oligomer composition includes feeding a solution including a solvent and a phenylene ether oligomer into a thin film evaporator, forming a film on an interior surface of the thin film evaporator, and heating to devolatilize the solvent from the film, to provide a phenylene ether oligomer composition. The thin film evaporator includes cylindrical heating chamber and a rotor having one or more rotor blades, wherein an edge of the one or more rotor blades and the interior surface of the cylindrical heating chamber are separated by a distance of 0.5 to 3.5 millimeters. Phenylene ether oligomer compositions are also described.
CYCLIC OLIGO(ARYLENE ETHER)S, PROCESSES FOR THEIR PREPARATION AND THEIR USE
The invention relates to a process for the manufacture of a cyclic oligo(arylene ether) which can be a cyclic oligo(dichloromethylene arylene ether) or a cyclic oligo(arylene ether ketone); the process comprises the step of causing an aromatic compound to react with a hexachloroxylene compound in a pseudo-high dilution environment. The invention relates also to new cyclic oligo(arylene ether)s and their use for the manufacture of acyclic poly (arylene ether)s, such as PEKK, by ring-opening polymerization.
Functional Bottlebrush Polymers
An example of a bottlebrush polymer has a polymer backbone and a plurality of individual brush moieties bonded to the polymer backbone. The individual brush moieties respectively include a crosslinked oxyamine moiety, a hydrophilic segment, and a surface adhesive terminal group.
POLYESTER RESIN
Polyester resins containing a structural unit represented by the following general formula (1), and has an aromatic oxycarbonyl group at its terminal:
##STR00001##
(in the formula, X.sub.Cs each independently represent a divalent organic group containing at least one aromatic ring, X.sub.Ds each independently represent a divalent organic group, m is an average value of the number of repetitions, and is a number satisfying 0<m?10, and * indicates a bond),
afford a cured product exhibiting excellent dielectric properties and also favorable mechanical properties in combination with a cross-linkable resin.
Functional Bottlebrush Polymers
An example of a bottlebrush polymer has a polymer backbone and a plurality of individual brush moieties bonded to the polymer backbone. The individual brush moieties respectively including a ketone, a hydrophilic segment, and a surface adhesive terminal group. The brush moieties can be functionalized and/or cross-linked.
Capped bisphenol polyether oligomer and composition, method of manufacture, and articles made therefrom
A capped bisphenol polyether oligomer including a reactive end group, wherein the capped bisphenol polyether oligomer further includes a repeating unit derived from: a bisphenol monomer, a benzylic dihalide, a tertiary cycloalkyl dihalide, or a combination thereof; and optionally, the capped bisphenol polyether oligomer further includes a branching agent.
CYCLIC PEG COATINGS INCREASE THE BLOOD CIRCULATION TIME OF PARTICLES USED IN DRUG DELIVERY APPLICATIONS
A micelle comprising a diblock polymer with a cyclic polyethylene glycol block and a hydrophobic block is provided. The micelle may be used in conjunction with one or a combination of therapeutic agents, targeting agents, and imaging agents. The micelle may be incorporated in a pharmaceutical composition.
