Composite System and Method for Pile Construction and Repair
An epoxy grout composition for marine repairs contains: a liquid epoxy resin comprising up to 15 wt. % benzyl alcohol and having a viscosity of 220 to 1100 cps; a liquid hardener comprising up to 25% benzyl alcohol and having a viscosity of 50 to 85 cps and, wherein the total benzyl alcohol content of the combined resin and hardener ranges from 1 to 12 wt. %; and preferably, a particulate inorganic filler comprising 10 to 50 wt. % of particles under 150 μm and 50 to 90 wt. % of particles between 150 μm and 1.18 mm. The composition is particularly suitable for placement in the annular space between a marine structure and a fiberglass composite jacket. The composition may be provided in kit form, with premeasured containers of resin, hardener, and filler. A related method is also disclosed.
Anti-fatigue cold mixed epoxy resin material, preparation method and application thereof
The invention relates to an anti-fatigue cold mixed epoxy resin material, preparation method and application thereof, comprising component A and component B with mass ratio of 1:1-10:1, component A comprising fluid epoxy resin, active toughener, active diluents, coupling agent and defoamer; component B is any one of or a mixture of two or more than two of alicyclic amine or amino terminated polyether, cyanoethylamine, phenolic modified amine or hydroxyalkyl modified amine. Introduced epoxy terminated organosilicon block polyurethane prepolymer breaks the limitation that elongation at fracture of epoxy resin system based on “sea-island structure” is difficult to break through 100%. The invention is suitable for bridge deck pavement of long-span cable bearing bridge, waterproof bonding material or used for airport pavement, municipal viaduct, ramp and other occasions with high requirements for fatigue resistance of pavement material.
Self-assembly assisted additive manufacturing of thermosets
The present invention relates to formulations including a self-assembly monomer. In particular embodiments, the self-assembly monomer provides a thermoset having beneficial viscoelastic properties for printing methodologies. Methods of making and using such formulations are also provided.
Method for comparative analysis on mechanical strength of macro-molecular polymer materials
A method for detecting or comparing mechanical strength of macro-molecular polymer materials. The detecting method has the steps of measuring the mechanical strength and the maximum value of the fluorescence absorption spectrum of each of the plurality of samples to form a curve relationship or function relationship between the maximum value of the fluorescence absorption spectrum and the mechanical strength; measuring the maximum value of the fluorescence absorption spectrum of the target material, and using the curve relationship or the function relationship to obtain the mechanical strength of the target material. The plurality of samples and the target material are both prepared from a macro-molecular polymer, and the macro-molecular polymer may be composed of disulfonate-difluorobenzophenone, hydroxyindole and difluorobenzophenone as monomers, and the sulfonate groups of the disulfonate-difluorobenzophenone have metal cations. An object of the method is to identify mechanical properties of polymer materials by fluorescence nondestructive detection.
