A cured elastomer golf ball component is made by heating an elastomer compound containing an ethylenically unsaturated elastomer, an ethylenically unsaturated monomer, and first and second free radical initiators to a first crosslinking temperature T.sub.1 in a compression mold and partially crosslinking the elastomer, then heating to a second crosslinking temperature T.sub.2 and curing the elastomer component of the golf ball. Either: (i) the first initiator has a half-life of about 0.2-5 minutes at T.sub.1, the second initiator has a half-life of about 0.2-5 minutes at T.sub.2, and T.sub.2 is higher T.sub.1 by at least about 30° C.; or (ii) the second initiator's one-minute half-life temperature is at least about 30° C. higher than the first initiator's one-minute half-life temperature, T.sub.1 is within about 20° C. of the first initiator's one-minute half-life temperature, and T.sub.2 is within about 20° C. of the second initiator's one-minute half-life temperature.

Degradable Resin Composition, and Prepreg, Laminate and Copper Clad Laminate Using Same, and Degrading method thereof

Disclosed are a resin composition, and prepreg, laminate and copper clad laminate using the same, and degrading method thereof, the resin composition comprising: an epoxy resin, a degradable amine curing agent, a degradable mercaptan curing agent and an inorganic filler. A copper clad laminate manufactured by the resin composition comprises several pieces of stacked prepreg, and copper foil arranged at one side or two sides of stacked prepreg, each of the prepreg comprising a reinforced material and the resin composition adhered thereon after soaking and drying. The present invention mixes the degradable amine curing agent and the degradable mercaptan curing agent to obtain a curing system having an adjustable reaction rate, thus facilitating process control when manufacturing the copper clad laminate, and the manufactured copper clad laminate has high overall performance and is completely degradable, thus recycling and reusing each of the effective components.

Sequential, Double Elastomer Vulcanization System, Method and Composition
20210371633 · 2021-12-02 ·

Sequential, double elastomer vulcanization method, system, and composition. First and second immiscible elastomers are mixed together with a first additive package. A first curative system is activated to vulcanize the first elastomer in a dispersed phase of the first elastomer to form a partially vulcanized mixture while maintaining melt flowability of the second elastomer in a continuous phase. Then, a second curative system is activated to vulcanize the second elastomer in the continuous phase. Since the partially vulcanized mixture is melt processable, a second additive package can be introduced to the mixture after activating the first curative system. Or, the second curative system can be activatable at a temperature which is higher than an activation temperature of the first curative system. In this manner, blends of dissimilar elastomers can be vulcanized with independent control of plasticizer, filler and curative distribution.
