CROSS LINKED SILK-HYALURONIC ACID COMPOSITION
Compositions useful as dermal fillers and methods using such compositions to treat various skin and soft tissue conditions. The dermal fillers can comprise silk attached to hyaluronic acid using for example two cross linkers and can be used to treat of facial imperfections, facial defects, facial augmentations, breast imperfections, breast augmentations or breast reconstructions.
Modified polysiloxane and application thereof
A modified polysiloxane has formula (I) ##STR00001##
In formula (I) m is an integer between 0 and 10000; n is an integer between 0 and 10000; m and n cannot be equal to 0 simultaneously; R.sub.1-R.sub.7 are the same or different; and at least one of R.sub.1-R.sub.7 includes a group having a reversible chemical bond system based on a hydrogen bond, a coordinate bond, or a covalent bond. The polysioxane is used as a main chain to introduce a reversible chemical bond having temperature sensitivity by using a chemical method, so as to obtain a polymer material which is highly sensitive to temperature. The temperature-sensitive properties of materials provide functional materials for specific applications, such as medical external fixation materials, orthopedic materials, and packaging materials, can be obtained by using particular processing and preparation methods.
Thermoplastic polymer-based composite material and preparation method thereof
A thermoplastic polymer-based composite material and a preparation method thereof are provided. The thermoplastic polymer-based composite material is obtained by impregnating a reinforcing material with a mixture or oligomer of an epoxy resin, a bismaleimide resin, and a bifunctional amine (calculated based on active hydrogen), and then performing an in-situ polymerization. The thermoplastic polymer-based composite material has excellent impregnation effect, excellent secondary processing performance, relatively high heat resistance, excellent flame retardancy, and mechanical properties, and excellent comprehensive performance.
CROSSLINKABLE BLENDS OF VDF COPOLYMERS
The present invention pertains to blends of crosslinkable vinylidene fluoride copolymers comprising recurring units derived from hydrophilic monomers, said blend being useful for producing shaped articles characterized by improved performances.
Process for preparing crosslinked polyolefin particles
Provided is a method of making a polymeric composition comprising (a) providing a dispersion of initial polyolefin particles in an aqueous medium, wherein the initial polyolefin particles comprise (i) one or more hydrocarbon polyolefin, (ii) one or more non-hydrocarbon polyolefin, and (iii) one or more crosslinking agent; (b) contacting the initial polyolefin particles with a peroxide initiator to form crosslinked polyolefin particles.
THERMALLY CROSSLINKED POLY(GLUCURONIC ACID)-CHITOSAN FILMS WITH HIGH OXYGEN AND WATER VAPOR BARRIER PROPERTIES
Disclosed are films and materials comprising poly(alkylene glycol)-chitosan and/or chitin-poly(glucuronic acid) and chitosan and/or chitin-poly(glucuronic acid). Methods of making such films, particularly involving thermally crosslinking poly(glucuronic acid) with chitosan, are disclosed.
RESIN COMPOSITION, ENCAPSULATION STRUCTURE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING RESIN COMPOSITION
A resin composition is provided, which includes a first polymer and a second polymer. The first polymer is formed by a reaction of an epoxy resin modified with a first elastic molecular segment and an epoxy resin curing agent. The second polymer is formed by a polymerization of an acrylate modified with a second elastic molecular segment.
Cucurbituril-based hydrogels
The invention provides hydrogel, wherein the hydrogel has a supramolecular cross-linked network obtainable or obtained from the complexation of an aqueous composition including a host, such as cucurbituril, and one or more polymers having suitable guest functionality. One or more polymers in the aqueous composition may have a molecular weight of 50 kDa or more, such as 200 kDa or more. The hydrogel may hold a component, such as a therapeutic compound or a biological molecule. The hydrogels are suitable for use in medicine.
HYBRID ELASTOMERIC MATERIAL
An elastomeric material is disclosed, which is suitable, in particular, as a sealing material between the fuel cells of a fuel cell stack and the stacks as such, wherein the hybrid elastomeric material includes a hybrid elastomer with a proportion of a siloxane polymeric material and a proportion of a polyolefin elastomeric material, wherein the two materials are crosslinked with one another by addition. Further aspects relate to polyelectrolyte fuel cells, which include sealing elements made of the hybrid elastomeric material, as well as the use of the hybrid elastomeric material in a screen printing process.
Cucurbituril-based hydrogels
The invention provides a polymerizable composition and a hydrogel obtained or obtainable from the polymerizable composition. The polymerizable composition comprises cucurbituril and a first monomer having a guest for the cucurbituril, wherein the total monomer concentration, C.sub.mon, within the polymerizable composition is at least 0.5 M. The composition may be an aqueous composition.
