STRONG ADHESION OF CONDUCTING POLYMERS ON DIVERSE SUBSTRATES
Adhesion of conducting polymers on diverse insulating and conductive substrates via a hydrophilic adhesion layer, where one or more functional groups may be disposed between the substrate and the hydrophilic adhesion layer. Adhesion of the conducting polymers on the substrates is such that adhesion is maintained or substantially maintained in wet physiological environments.
Liquid chemical agent package and production method therefor
A liquid chemical agent package includes: a package bag obtained by bonding water-soluble films each containing a polyvinyl alcohol resin (A) to each other; and a liquid chemical agent included in the package bag, wherein in a section in a vertical direction relative to bonding surfaces of the water-soluble films, the liquid chemical agent package contains 20 or more inorganic particles each having a particle diameter of 2 m or more in a sealed sectional portion having a range extending from an interface between the bonding surfaces by 10 m in the vertical direction and having a width of 900 m. The liquid chemical agent package has water solubility but also high adhesiveness of a water-sealed portion and is hence excellent in sealability, and is hardly affected over time from the end of water application to water sealing and hence maintains high sealability.
LAMINATED RUBBER HOSE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Provided is a method for manufacturing a laminated rubber hose that includes a first layer and a second layer laminated on an outer surface of the first layer, the first layer containing a thermosetting resin in an amount of 4.5 parts by mass or less relative to 100 parts by mass of a rubber component, the method including laminating the second layer on the outer surface of the first layer with the outer surface of the first layer maintained at a temperature range of 65 C. or more and 105 C. or less.
METHODS OF BONDING COMPONENTS TO POLYMERIC SUBSTRATES
Methods for bonding polymeric substrates to component parts, and medical devices assemblies including a tubing and a component part bonded together using a solvent containing a tackifier.
Cylindrical shrink label and method for producing same
A cylindrical shrink label is provided with a heat-shrinkable label base material; and a joint formed by cylindrically forming the label base material so that the edges thereof overlap, and then solvent welding the inner surface of the outside edge, which is positioned on the outside of the cylinder, and the outer surface of the inside edge, which is positioned on the inside of the cylinder. A resin layer, which is soluble in a hot alkaline aqueous solution, is formed on the abovementioned inner surface and/or the abovementioned outer surface, which form the joint.
METHOD FOR FUSING ARAMID/ARAMID FIBRES
A method for fusing aramid fibers, wherein a) at least one area of an aramid fiber is treated with an ionic liquid so that the aramid is partially dissolved, b) the aramid fiber is contacted via the dissolved area with another aramid fiber area with pressure being applied to the contact area, and subsequently c) the partially dissolved area of the aramid is re-coagulated.
Method for fusing aramid/aramid fibers
A method for welding aramid fibers, wherein a) at least one area of an aramid fiber is treated with an ionic liquid so that the aramid is partially dissolved, b) the aramid fiber is contacted via the dissolved area with another aramid fiber area with pressure being applied to the contact area, and subsequently c) the partially dissolved area of the aramid is re-coagulated.
Refresh agent
A coated rubber composition includes a rubber composition coated with a liquid refresh agent selected from the group consisting of one or more liquid terpenes, limonene, carvone, pinene, pine needle oil, citral, orange oil, C9-C15 aliphatics, C9-C15 cycloaliphatics, ethyl lactate, dipentene, 1,8-cineole, eucalyptol, citronellol, geraniol, citronellene, terpinen-4-ol, and combinations thereof. A method of application and a coated rubber composition are also disclosed.
Method for sealing a water-soluble film by applying a sealing solution
Disclosed herein are sealing solutions for sealing water-soluble films, in particular aqueous mixtures including one or more polymeric solvents such as polyols. Aqueous sealing solutions including a relatively dilute solvent for one or more polymeric components of the water-soluble film (e.g., water-soluble polymeric components thereof, such as polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH)) can exhibit one or more benefits, including a reduction in dissolution of the film by the sealing solution and an increase in seal strength. Also disclosed are sealed articles formed with the sealing solutions, for example water-soluble packets containing various liquid or solid compositions.
HEAT-SHRINKABLE LABEL, PACKAGE, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR HEAT-SHRINKABLE LABEL
Provided are a heat-shrinkable label and a package each having solvent bonded-portion where solvent penetration-through is not caused even when the film is thin. Provided are particularly a heat-shrinkable label and a package each having solvent bonded-portion gaining a high peel strength stability even when the film is passed through a tubing step made high in speed. A heat-shrinkable label has a tubular shape, in which both end portions of a heat-shrinkable polyvinyl chloride-based film or a heat-shrinkable polystyrene-based film are bonded to each other with a solvent composition. The solvent composition contains at least one organic solvent selected from the group consisting of tetrahydrofuran (THF), methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) and ethyl acetate, and at least one resin selected from the group consisting of polyester, polypropylene and hydrogenated petroleum resin, and the end portion bonded has a peel strength of 2 N/15 mm or more.
