Fungal textile materials and leather analogs
Textile compositions comprising at least one filamentous fungus are disclosed, as are methods for making and using such textile compositions. Embodiments of the textile compositions generally include at least one of a plasticizer, a polymer, and a crosslinker, in addition to the filamentous fungus. The disclosed textile compositions are particularly useful as analogs or substitutes for conventional textile compositions, including but not limited to leather.
GLASS FIBER MAT WITH LOW-DENSITY FIBERS
A binder composition for use in the manufacture of a nonwoven mat including a low-density fiber, and nonwoven mats made with the binder, are disclosed. The low-density fiber is able to reduce the acoustic openness of the nonwoven mats made therefrom while also capable of being delivered with existing binder technology and equipment.
POLY(PHENYLENE ETHER), CURABLE COMPOSITION CONTAINING POLY(PHENYLENE ETHER), DRY FILM, PREPREG, CURED OBJECT, LAMINATE, AND ELECTRONIC COMPONENT
The present invention provides a poly(phenylene ether) which retains low-dielectric characteristics and is soluble in various solvents. The poly(phenylene ether) is characterized by being obtained from one or more raw-material phenols including a phenol satisfying at least Requirement 1 (to have hydrogen atoms in the ortho and para positions) and by having a slope calculated from a conformational plot of less than 0.6.
COMPOSITE MATERIAL, AND METHODS FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF
Provided herein are mycelium materials and methods for production thereof. In some embodiments, a mycelium material includes: a cultivated mycelium material including one or more masses of branching hyphae, wherein the one or more masses of branching hyphae may be disrupted or pressed and/or a bonding agent may be combined with the cultivated mycelium material. Methods of producing a mycelium material are also provided.

BIOMIMETIC COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
The present invention provides a biomimetic composite material, a nacreous layer-mimetic material, a biomimetic nacre material and preparation methods thereof. The biomimetic composite material comprises multiple composite film formed from biomass fibers and an inorganic nanomaterial, wherein an organic polymer material is arranged between the multiple composite film layers or in the composite base body. The invention combines a high-mechanical-performance shellfish structure with a wood fiberboard to overcome the original defects of the fiberboard, improve the fiberboard performances and endow it with new special performances, so that the prepared material has dual functions of the fiberboard and the nanomaterial at the same time.
BINDING RESIN FOR NONWOVEN FABRICS, IN PARTICULAR FOR MANUFACTURING SUPPORTS FOR BITUMINOUS MEMBRANES, A METHOD FOR PREPARING IT, AND A NONWOVEN FABRIC OBTAINED BY USING SAID RESIN
There is described a binding resin for nonwoven fabrics, in particular for manufacturing supports for bituminous membranes, consisting of 100% natural, sustainable raw materials. The resin is an aqueous solution consisting of starch, a crosslinking agent of natural origin and a catalyst.
Prepreg tape and use thereof
A prepreg tape in which reinforcing fiber bundles are impregnated with a thermosetting resin composition, wherein the prepreg tape has a tack value measured at 23 C. at a plunger push pressure of 90 kPa of 5-40 kPa, a tack value measured at 45 C. and a plunger push pressure of 150 kPa of 35-100 kPa, and a drape value at 23 C. of 10-40, and includes unidirectional fibers arranged along the direction of length of the prepreg tape.
COATING COMPOSITION
A coating composition containing a water-soluble polymer selected from the group consisting of the following (1) and (2): (1) a polyvinyl alcohol, a modified product thereof or a derivative thereof; and (2) a polyvinylpyrrolidone, a modified product thereof or a derivative thereof.
