The disclosure provides a cationic curing composition for a plastic substrate, a coating material including the composition and an application of the composition in the field of energy curing. The cationic curing composition includes a polyhydroxy resin, an epoxy compound, an oxetanyl-containing compound, and a cationic initiator, the polyhydroxy resin is a polyester resin, an acrylic resin and/or a phenolic resin, and the molar ratio of a hydroxyl, a three-membered epoxy group to a four-membered epoxy group in the cationic curing composition is 1:(3-20):(1-25). A plastic product includes the plastic substrate and a coating layer, and the coating layer is formed by curing the cationic curing composition.

The present invention provides a hard-coat-layer-forming composition whereby a hard coat layer having excellent scratch resistance and cracking resistance can be formed, and an optical member. The hard-coat-layer-forming composition is a composition used to form a hard coat layer on a plastic substrate, and includes: metal oxide particles; at least one type of component X selected from the group consisting of an organic silicon compound represented by a predetermined formula, a hydrolysate thereof, and a hydrolytic condensate thereof; and at least one type of component Y selected from the group consisting of an organic silicon compound represented by a predetermined formula, a hydrolysate thereof, and a hydrolytic condensate thereof, and a glycoluril crosslinking agent, a hydrolysate thereof, and a hydrolytic condensate thereof.

The present invention provides a hard-coat-layer-forming composition whereby a hard coat layer having excellent scratch resistance and cracking resistance can be formed, and an optical member. The hard-coat-layer-forming composition is a composition used to form a hard coat layer on a plastic substrate, and includes: metal oxide particles; at least one type of component X selected from the group consisting of an organic silicon compound represented by a predetermined formula, a hydrolysate thereof, and a hydrolytic condensate thereof; and at least one type of component Y selected from the group consisting of an organic silicon compound represented by a predetermined formula, a hydrolysate thereof, and a hydrolytic condensate thereof, and a glycoluril crosslinking agent, a hydrolysate thereof, and a hydrolytic condensate thereof.
HARD COAT FILM FOR FOLDABLE DISPLAY AND USE THEREOF
Provided is a hard coating film for foldable displays that does not form creases or cracks in the folding portion, and that is also excellent in reducing iridescent colors (interference mottling) caused by fine cracks in an easy-to-adhere resin layer or other layers. The hard coating film for foldable displays contains a polyester film having a thickness of 10 to 80 μm, an easy-to-adhere resin layer, and a hard coating layer, the easy-to-adhere resin layer and the hard coating layer being stacked in this order on at least one surface of the polyester film, wherein the easy-to-adhere resin layer is a cured product of a composition containing at least one compound selected from the group consisting of titanium compounds and zirconium compounds and a polyester resin, and the polyester film having the easy-to-adhere resin layer stacked thereon but not yet having the hard coating layer stacked thereon satisfies characteristics within specific ranges.
Ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer particles, method for producing same and use of same
The present invention relates to ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer particles, comprising an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer having an ethylene unit content of 1 mol % or more and less than 20 mol %, a viscosity-average polymerization degree of 200 to 5000, and a saponification degree of 80 to 99.99 mol %, wherein a crystallinity in water Cw (30° C.) at 30° C. and a crystallinity in water Cw (70° C.) at 70° C. as determined by pulse NMR satisfy formula (I). There is thus provided ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer particles having excellent solubility in water and excellent gas barrier performance.
Ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer particles, method for producing same and use of same
The present invention relates to ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer particles, comprising an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer having an ethylene unit content of 1 mol % or more and less than 20 mol %, a viscosity-average polymerization degree of 200 to 5000, and a saponification degree of 80 to 99.99 mol %, wherein a crystallinity in water Cw (30° C.) at 30° C. and a crystallinity in water Cw (70° C.) at 70° C. as determined by pulse NMR satisfy formula (I). There is thus provided ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer particles having excellent solubility in water and excellent gas barrier performance.
COMPOSITION FOR FORMING HARD COAT OF RESIN SUBSTRATE AND LAMINATE USING THE SAME
The present invention provides a composition for forming a hard coat and a laminate using the same. The composition for forming a hard coat includes at least metal oxide fine particles; a hydrolysate of an organosilicon compound; an adhesion promoting component having an alkoxysilyl group; a curing catalyst; and a solvent, wherein by introducing, as the organosilicon compound, an organosilicon compound having a hydrocarbon group having (6 to 18) carbon atoms substituted with a glycidoxy group, and an organosilicon compound having a hydrocarbon group having (1 to 5) carbon atoms substituted with a glycidoxy group, even when applied to a flexible resin substrate, the composition for forming a hard coat has excellent adhesion and scratch resistance, and bending resistance (crack resistance) and surface hardness as well.
Anti-glare hard coat laminated film
One embodiment provides a hard coat laminated film, comprising, in order from a surface layer side, a first hard coat, a second hard coat, and a transparent resin film layer, where the first hard coat is formed of a coating material including: (A) 100 parts by mass of a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate; (B) 0.01 to 7 parts by mass of a water repellent; (C) 0.01 to 10 parts by mass of a silane coupling agent; and (D) 0.1 to 10 parts by mass of resin microparticles having an average particle diameter of 0.5 to 10 μm, and containing no inorganic particles, and where the second hard coat is formed of a coating material containing inorganic particles. Another embodiment provides a hard coat laminated film having, in order from a surface layer side, a first hard coat, a second hard coat, and a resin film layer. The first hard coat includes a coating material that does not include inorganic particles. The second hard coat includes a coating material including inorganic particles. The adhesive film fulfills the conditions: (i) a total light transmission rate of at least 85%; (ii) a pencil hardness for the first hard coat surface of at least 5H; and (iii) a Y value for an XYZ color system of 1.5%-4.2%.
Anti-glare hard coat laminated film
One embodiment provides a hard coat laminated film, comprising, in order from a surface layer side, a first hard coat, a second hard coat, and a transparent resin film layer, where the first hard coat is formed of a coating material including: (A) 100 parts by mass of a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate; (B) 0.01 to 7 parts by mass of a water repellent; (C) 0.01 to 10 parts by mass of a silane coupling agent; and (D) 0.1 to 10 parts by mass of resin microparticles having an average particle diameter of 0.5 to 10 μm, and containing no inorganic particles, and where the second hard coat is formed of a coating material containing inorganic particles. Another embodiment provides a hard coat laminated film having, in order from a surface layer side, a first hard coat, a second hard coat, and a resin film layer. The first hard coat includes a coating material that does not include inorganic particles. The second hard coat includes a coating material including inorganic particles. The adhesive film fulfills the conditions: (i) a total light transmission rate of at least 85%; (ii) a pencil hardness for the first hard coat surface of at least 5H; and (iii) a Y value for an XYZ color system of 1.5%-4.2%.
