This new desk bureau possesses a unique arrangement of components in a mobile and more satisfactory style for use in this modern era office environment, as well as a more economical method of fabrication of this unique and new desk bureau design. The invention also possesses more convenient outlet plugs for power and data outlets, which are often located in an inconvenient manner in prior art desk models. Not only can users access the outlet ports with ease, but multiple mobile devices and papers can be displayed on the present invention simultaneously while the devices can be recharged. Moreover, support horizontal planes allow for easy placement of baggage and briefcases, and internal storage bin areas are provided on a lower storage support unit.

An electrical power-supplying device for supplying electrical power to a group of electrical appliances located in an environment. The electrical power supplying device includes a power supply cord for plugging into a standard power receptacle by way of a power supply plug, and supplying AC electrical power to the device. The device includes a housing base portion having a central aperture providing access to a 3D interior volume bounded by a side wall extending circumferentially about the 3D interior volume and having a capacity for holding a plurality of power adapter modules and/or power adapter blocks associated with said group of electrical appliances located in the environment. The device further includes a central power-receptacle assembly having a peninsula-like housing structure supported generally within the central portion of the housing base portion and extending above the bottom support surface within the 3D interior volume, and towards a portion of the wall of the housing base portion, and supporting a plurality of internally disposed alternating current (AC) electrical receptacles and one or more electronic circuits, including an AC-to-DC power conversion circuit, which are operably connected to the power supply cord.

A multipurpose with an integrated computer system uses a desk and a drawer computer to provide a user with enhanced safety for themselves and their data. The desk has a support structure, a tabletop, an antiballistic shell, a concealment cavity, a computer enclosure, and a storage compartment. The support structure is a rigid frame onto which the tabletop is mounted. The antiballistic shell is a protective layer of material that wraps around the lateral surface of the support structure so that bullets and flying debris cannot harm the user or the drawer computer. The concealment enclosure is a cavity within the desk that functions as a personal bunker into which the user can crawl. The drawer computer is a personal computing device that is mounted within the computer enclosure. Finally, the storage compartment is a drawer or cabinet that can be used for storing personal items.

A modular furniture unit can be configured to provide power distribution in conjunction with other furniture features. Embodiments of furniture arrangements may utilize one or more modular furniture units to provide one or more of such features (e.g. storage, seating, privacy, work surface, lighting, etc.). A HDMI signal switcher is in the lower compartment and has HDMI input and output connectors. The apparatus includes a plurality of HDMI cables. Each HDMI cable extends from a corresponding opening in the interior panel and has a first HDMI connector connected to a corresponding HDMI input connector and a second HDMI connector for connection to an HDMI signal source device.

An electrical power-supplying device for supplying electrical power to a group of electrical appliances located in an environment. The electrical power supplying device includes a power supply cord for plugging into a standard power receptacle by way of a power supply plug, and supplying AC electrical power to the device. A bracket configured to selectively couple an accessory to a piece of furniture, where the bracket includes a backing plate including a pair of longitudinally extending opposed side rails and a rack having a plurality of teeth, the teeth extending between the pair of opposed side rails. A stationary clamping platform is fixedly coupled to the backing plate, where the accessory is supported by the stationary clamping platform. A moveable clamping platform has a clamping surface oriented parallel to the clamping surface of the stationary clamping platform, where the moveable clamping platform is coupled to the opposed side rails to be selectively moveable along the backplate. A locking mechanism is supported by the moveable clamping platform and is rotatable relative to the moveable clamping platform, where the locking mechanism includes a plurality of teeth configured to selectively meshingly engage with the rack.
