Table apparatus and method
Some implementations of a table system can include a protective member that is positionable below a table to provide protection to both a table and chairs. The protective member can extend lateral beyond a peripheral edge of the table top, for example, to protect the table and accessory furniture while allowing the table top and the peripheral edge of the table top to remain exposed.
Pedal organizer and related system
One aspect of the disclosure relates to a pedal organizer. The pedal organizer may include: a first pedal retaining member including a front surface, a rear surface opposite the front surface, a top surface, and a bottom surface opposite the top surface; at least one aperture extending through the top surface to a depth within the first pedal retaining member, the at least one aperture extending from the front surface to the rear surface; and at least one void within the front surface of the first pedal retaining member, the at least one void being open to the at least one aperture without extending through to the rear surface, wherein portions of the front surface on opposing sides of the at least one void are substantially coplanar.
Power-supply connector for shelves and power-supply system with tracks for use thereof
The invention relates to a power-supply connector for shelves, comprising a bottom cover, a top cover disposed on the bottom cover, positive and negative power-supply contacts clamped between the bottom cover and the top cover, and a cable with one end extending into a holding cavity formed by the bottom cover and the top cover, wherein the cable is electrically connected with the positive and negative power-supply contacts. According to the invention the positive and negative power-supply contacts are respectively rotatably supported about a pivot center, so that when one of the two free ends of a respective power-supply contact moves in a direction away from the top cover in the corresponding through-hole the other of the two free ends of the respective power-supply contact moves in a direction closer to the top cover.
ELECTRICAL POWER UNIT FOR A WORK SURFACE
An electrical power or electronic data unit includes an outer housing and an inner housing that is insertable into the outer housing. The outer housing has an outer front face panel defining an outer receptacle opening and the inner housing has an inner rear housing portion plus an inner front face portion defining an inner receptacle opening aligned with the outer receptacle opening. A circuit board substrate is positioned inside the inner housing with an electrical contact mounted to the board substrate and aligned with and accessible through the inner and outer receptacle openings. A contact support extends rearwardly from the inner front face portion adjacent the inner receptacle opening, the contact support serving to limit movement of the electrical contact during insertion of a plug or prong into engagement with the electrical contact.
FURNITURE SYSTEM
A furniture system includes an elongated chase having a body extending from a first end to a second end. The body has an upper surface and a lower surface. A first leg is coupled to the lower surface of the body and a second leg is coupled to the lower surface of the body and spaced apart from the first leg. Power cables are positioned within a cavity of the body, the power cables configured to connect to a building's power supply. A modular power unit is coupled to the lower surface of the body. The modular power unit includes a power outlet electrically coupled to the power cables.
Mobile Device Charging Bar Caddy
A mobile device charging bar caddy includes a caddy housing with at least one receptacle adapted to accommodate drink accessories, such as napkins and straws. The bar caddy includes a plurality of charging connectors for mobile devices, such as smartphones, that are extendable away from the housing when needed, and retractable into the housing when not in use. The housing also includes a power supply electrically connected to the charging connectors such that the power supply supplies power to the mobile device when the charging connector is connected to the mobile device. A base portion smaller than the main housing protrudes from the bottom of the main housing so that the caddy can be mounted in a drink rail. In some cases, the caddy includes various connector types for accommodating different phones.
Article of furniture
An article of furniture includes a top member defining a planar work surface. A support structure supports the top member in spaced relationship relative to a floor, the support structure including a plurality of legs. At least one of the legs defines a socket having an opening at a top of at least one of the legs. A power connector is arranged within the socket of at least one of the legs. The power connector is configured to make electrical contact with an electrical connector of an electrical accessory when the electrical connector is received in the socket of at least one of the legs.
Method and apparatus to keep track of performance data and user's preferences while using a standing desk and fitness devices
A network of devices that include Workspace Fitness Devices, such as Smart Under-the-desk Bikes and Smart Desk Controllers embedded in Smart Sit-and-Stand Desks that connect or talk to one another, electronically identify individual users, track their activities, connect to a remote server database, and modify its records. Secondary devices such as smartphones, can connect to this network to remotely monitor and control the settings on the devices such as the desk's height or the required tension in the Smart Under-the-Desk Bike. The performance data captured by this network of devices can be shared to fitness tracking software or devices. By using our invention, we plan to motivate employees that sit behind the desk for numerous hours throughout the day to improve their health, productivity, and overall wellbeing.
TABLE
A table includes: a table plate having a penetration hole formed through a portion of an edge thereof; a connector unit coupled to the penetration hole to be disposed at a lower side of the table plate and exposed on an upper surface of the table plate through the penetration hole, the connector unit having a first port; a pair of first table legs disposed at one side of a lower surface of the table plate; a pair of second table legs disposed at the other side of the lower surface of the table plate; and a connection communication unit comprising a second port disposed at one side of the lower surface of the table plate.
AIR BLOWING DEVICE AND AIR BLOWING MACHINE FOR GENERATING RISING AIR
An air blowing device includes: an air blower provided in connection with a support stand, the air blower being configured to generate rising air; a support frame attached to the support stand; and a wind-direction changing device configured to change a wind direction to a direction crossing a direction of the rising air upon receipt of the rising air, wherein descending air blown to periphery around the air blower is generated by the wind-direction changing device, and the wind-direction changing device is supported by the support frame.
