Recycled PET foam material and method for manufacturing the same
A recycled PET foam material and a manufacturing method thereof are characterized in that a recycled material can be used. The manufacturing method includes the following steps: uniformly mixing PET resin, chain extender, antioxidant, flame retardant and heat stabilizer, and then mixing with a twin-screw extruder to obtain a foam PET resin. The PET foaming material obtained is a material having the advantages of light weight, large rigidity, high specific strength, good electrical insulation, good sound insulation and the like, low raw material cost, simple manufacturing process and environmental protection.

The invention relates to a liquid formulation for foaming a thermoplastic polystyrene, said formulation comprising a) a liquid carrier; and b) at least one endothermic chemical blowing agent selected from the group consisting of dicarboxylic acids, tricarboxylic acids, salts of dicarboxylic acids, salts of tricarboxylic acids, esters of dicarboxylic acids and esters of tricarboxylic acids.
Thermally expandable composition with reduced odor formation
A thermally expandable composition includes at least one polymer P cross-linkable by peroxide, and at least one acrylate, and at least one peroxide, azodicarbonamide and a zinc compound. The thermally expandable composition leads to low odor formation and low ammonia emission during and after the foaming process. The thermally expandable composition further shows excellent properties in terms of expansion stability.
FLAME-RETARDANT FOAMED OBJECT AND FOAM MEMBER
Provided is a flame-retardant foam which has high flame retardancy, is excellent in flexibility, and is excellent in stress dispersibility. Also provided is a foam member including such flame-retardant foam as a flame-retardant foam layer. The flame-retardant foam of the present invention has an apparent density of from 0.02 g/cm.sup.3 to 0.40 g/cm.sup.3, a 50% compression load of from 0.5 N/cm.sup.2 to 8.0 N/cm.sup.2, and a rupture elongation in a tensile test of 120% or less.
Foam Formed From Cellulose Ester Composition
A biodegradable foam material is disclosed. The biodegradable foam material is made from a cellulose ester polymer combined with at least one plasticizer. The cellulose ester polymer composition is combined with one or more foaming agents and formed into a closed cell foam. The foam material is particularly well suited for use in packaging.
Expandable compositions containing aromatic vinyl polymers having self-extinguishing properties and improved processability
The present invention relates to an expandable polymeric composition comprising: a) a polymeric matrix containing vinyl aromatic polymers and/or copolymers; b) from 0.1% to 20% by weight, calculated on the polymeric matrix (a), of an athermanous agent; c) from 0.01% to 10% by weight, calculated on the polymeric matrix (a), of at least one non-polymeric brominated flame retardant additive; d) from 0.01% to 10% by weight, calculated on the polymeric matrix (a), of at least one brominated polymer containing at least 50% bromine; e) from 0.01% to 5% by weight, calculated on the polymeric matrix (a), of a synergistic flame retardant additive; f) from 1% by weight to 10% by weight of at least one blowing agent.

A process for producing rigid PUR/PIR foams comprising A1 an isocyanate-reactive component, A2 a flame retardant, A3 a blowing agent, A4 a catalyst, A5 optionally auxiliaries and additives, and B an organic polyisocyanate component. Component A1 comprises a triurethane triol A1.1 and a compound A1.2 selected from the group consisting of polyether polyol, polyester polyol, polyether carbonate polyol, and polyether ester polyol. Also disclosed is a rigid PUR/PIR foam, an insulating material, a composite element, and a mixture.

The present invention relates to a method for producing polyurethane foams by reacting an isocyanate component with an isocyanate-reactive component comprising at least one polyethercarbonate polyol, the reaction taking place in the presence of a component K selected from one or more compounds from the group consisting of K1 esters of mono- or polybasic carboxylic acids whose (first) dissociation has a pKa of 0.5 to 4.0, K2 mono-, di- and polysulfonates of mono- and polyfunctional alcohols, and K3 one or more compounds from the group consisting of K 3.1 esters of phosphoric acid, phosphonic acid, phosphorous acid, phosphinic acid, phosphonous acid and phosphinous acid, these esters each containing no P—OH group, K3.2 oligomeric alkyl phosphates of the general formula (II), where a is an integer from 1 to 10, b is an integer from 1 to 10, R1, R2, R3 and R4 are alkyl groups having at least one carbon, and R1, R2, R3 and R4 are alike or, independently of one another, different, and R5 is a linear alkylene group having at least two carbons or is a branched alkylene group having at least three carbons, and K3.3 comprises oligomeric alkyl phosphates of the general formula (III), where a is an integer from 1 to 10, b is an integer from 1 to 10, R1, R4 and R5 are linear alkylene groups having at least two carbons or are branched alkylene groups having at least three carbons, and R1, R4 and R5 are alike or, independently of one another, different, and R2 and R3 are alkyl groups having at least one carbon, and R2 and R3 are alike or, independently of one another, different.
