Insulated electric wire and varnish for forming insulating layer

An insulated electric wire includes a linear conductor and one or a plurality of insulating layers formed on an outer peripheral surface of the conductor. At least one of the one or plurality of insulating layers contains a plurality of pores, outer shells are disposed on peripheries of the pores, and the outer shells are derived from shells of hollow-forming particles having a core-shell structure. A varnish for forming an insulating layer contains a resin composition forming a matrix and hollow-forming particles having a core-shell structure and dispersed in the resin composition. In the varnish, cores of the hollow-forming particles contain a thermally decomposable resin as a main component, and shells of the hollow-forming particles contain a main component having a higher thermal decomposition temperature than the thermally decomposable resin.

METHOD OF FORMING A VOID, CHANNEL, AND/OR VASCULAR NETWORK IN A POLYMERIC MATRIX

A method of forming a void, channel and/or vascular network in a polymeric matrix comprises providing a pre-vascularized structure that includes a matrix material and a sacrificial material embedded in the matrix material in a predetermined pattern, where the matrix material comprises a monomer and the sacrificial material comprises a polymer. A region of the matrix material is activated to initiate an exothermic polymerization reaction and generate a self-propagating polymerization front. As the polymerization front propagates through the matrix material and polymerizes the monomer, heat from the exothermic reaction simultaneously degrades the sacrificial material into a gas-phase and/or liquid-phase byproduct. Thus, one or more voids or channels having the predetermined pattern are rapidly formed in the matrix material.

POROUS POLYIMIDE FILM AND BATTERY

A porous polyimide film has an acid value within a range of 7 mgKOH/g to 20 mgKOH/g determined by acid-base titration, contains a metal group including alkali metals excluding Li, an alkaline earth metals, and silicon at a total content of 100 ppm or less relative to the porous polyimide film, and has a moisture absorption ratio of 0.5% or less.

POROUS NON-METALLIC MATERIAL

The present invention provides a porous non-metallic material including a material body, the material body is composed of pore cavities and cavity walls formed by surrounding the pore cavities in three-dimensional space. The pore cavities are uniformly distributed, and each pore cavity is three-dimensionally interconnected. The pore cavities are uniformly distributed means that the pore cavities are uniformly distributed under any unit-level volume on the porous material. The present invention provides a specific and clear measurement method for pore cavities distribution uniformity of the porous material, that is, the pore distribution uniformity of the porous material and the hierarchical structure thereof is measured on the scale of the small unit-level volume. Such porous structure is highly uniform, thereby ensuring the uniformity of the properties of the porous material.

POROUS POLYIMIDE FILM, LITHIUM ION SECONDARY BATTERY, AND ALL-SOLID-STATE BATTERY

There is provided a porous polyimide film in which the pore distribution width A represented by the following formula is 1.15 or less, the average pore diameter is within a range of 0.50 m to 3.0 m, and the air permeation speed is 30 seconds or less:

A=(D.sub.84/D.sub.16).sup.1/2 wherein D.sub.16 is the pore diameter at 16% cumulation from the small diameter side of pores, and D.sub.84 is the pore diameter at 84% cumulation from the small diameter side of pores.
