A catalyst composition comprising at least one compound with a general formula I:

wherein A is N—R.sup.3, R.sup.3 is C.sub.1-C.sub.8 linear or branched, x=0-6, n and m are each independently 1 to 6, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are each independently C.sub.2-C.sub.8 alkyl, and R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 are —CH.sub.3 groups; or A=O, x=0-6. n and m are each independently 1 to 6. R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are each independently C.sub.2-C.sub.8 alkyl, and R.sup.4 and R.sup.5 are —CH.sub.3 groups; or A=O or N—R.sup.3, R.sup.3 is C.sub.1-C.sub.8 linear or branched, and N(R.sup.1-R.sup.4) and N(R.sup.2-R.sup.5) each independently represent a C.sub.3-C.sub.7 ring amine moiety of the type:

FLAME-RETARDANT POLYURETHANE FOAM
A thermoset foam comprises from 0.2 to 4.0 wt. % of at least one aliphatic brominated polyether polyol, from 2.0 to 7.0 wt. % of at least one aromatic brominated polyester polyol, and from 2.0 to 7.5 wt. % of at least one flame retardant comprising organo-phosphate, organo-phosphonate, or organo-phosphite, wherein the ratio of the amount of aliphatic bromine expressed as a percentage of total bromine to the amount of aromatic bromine expressed as a percentage of total bromine is from 10:90 to 50:50.
Flame-retardant phenolic resin foam
A phenolic resin foam has a density of 30 kg/m.sup.3 to 80 kg/m.sup.3, a closed cell ratio of 85% or more, and reaches a total amount of heat release of 8 MJ/m.sup.2 in a time of 20 minutes or more in a heat release test performed using a cone calorimeter.

For the composition comprising 1234yf, the additional compound is selected from the group consisting of HFO-1234ze, HFO-1243zf, HCFC-243db, HCFC-244db, HFC-245cb, HFC-245fa, HCFO-1233xf, HCFO-1233zd, HCFC-253fb, HCFC-234ab, HCFC-243fa, ethylene, HFC-23, CFC-13, HFC-143a, HFC-152a, HFC-236fa, HCO-1130, HCO-1130a, HFO-1336, HCFC-133a, HCFC-254fb, CHF═CHCl, HFO-1141, HCFO-1242zf, HCFO-1223xd, HCFC-233ab, HCFC-226ba, and HFC-227ca. Compositions comprising HCFC-243db, HCFO-1233xf, and/or HCFC-244db are useful in processes to make HFO-1234yf. Compositions comprising HFO-1234yf are useful, among other uses, as heat transfer compositions for use in refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump systems.
Azeotrope or azeotrope-like compositions of trifluoroidomethane (CF.SUB.3.I) and 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoropropane (HFC-236fa)
The present disclosure provides azeotrope or azeotrope-like compositions including trifluoroiodomethane (CF.sub.3I) and 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoropropane (HFC-236fa), and a method of forming an azeotrope or azeotrope-like composition comprising the step of combining 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoropropane (HFC-236fa) and trifluoroiodomethane (CF.sub.3I) to form an azeotrope or azeotrope-like comprising 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoropropane (HFC-236fa) and trifluoroiodomethane (CF.sub.3I) having a boiling point of about −22.70° C.±0.30° C. at a pressure of about 14.30 psia±0.30 psia.
System for dimensionally stable isocyanate-free polyurethane foam
A polymer foam system comprises a polyaldehyde, an inorganic powder, a polycarbamate, a blowing agent and an acid catalyst wherein the polyaldehyde is in an A-side of the polymer foam system and the polycarbamate is in a B-side of the polymer foam system wherein the inorganic powder is selected from a group consisting of Group II oxides and hydroxides, the polyaldehyde has an average functionality of more than one and three or less, the polycarbamate has an average functionality of 3.4 or more and 4.2 or less, the polycarbamate has an average equivalent weight of 200 grams per equivalent or more and 325 grams per equivalent or less, and the average particle size of the inorganic powder in micrometers divided by the ratio of concentration in millimoles of inorganic powder to acid catalyst is 2.5 or more an 9.3 or less.

Compositions comprising HCFC-243db, HCFO-1233xf, and/or HCFC-244db are useful in processes to make HFO-1234yf. Compositions comprising HFO-1234yf are useful, among other uses, as heat transfer compositions for use in refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump systems.
Multiple immediate pass application of high thickness spray foams
A method of applying a closed cell spray foam insulation may include spraying a first layer of a closed cell spray foam insulation into a wall cavity. A B-side mixture of the closed cell spray foam insulation may include a polyol blend having a polyester polyol having a functionality of at least about 3.0 and a polyether polyol. The method may include spraying at least one additional layer of the closed cell spray foam insulation against the first layer within 5 minutes of spraying the first layer.
Heat transfer compositions
A heat transfer composition includes: (i) trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (R-1234ze(E)); (ii) a second component selected from difluoromethane (R-32), propene (R-1270), propane (R290) and mixtures thereof; (iii) a third component selected from pentafluoroethane (R-125), 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane (R-34a), and mixtures thereof; and optionally (iv) a fourth component selected from fluoroethane (R-161), 1,1-difluoroethane (R-152a) and mixtures thereof.
Reversibly cross-linkable resin
Reversibly cross-linkable foam is provided. The reversibly cross-linked foam includes a first polymeric material, at least one reversibly cross-linkable monomer polymerized with the first polymeric material, and at least one blowing agent. The reversibly cross-linkable co-polymeric foam is thermally stable at temperatures of at least 10 degrees higher than otherwise identical polymeric foam that does not include the reversibly cross-linkable agent polymerized with the first polymeric material.
