The invention relates to a polymer composition based on thermoplastic copolyester elastomer comprising: from 90% to 70% by weight of the thermoplastic copolyester elastomer containing ester and ether bonds; from 5% to 25% by weight of one or more saturated esters with a molecular weight between about 200 and 1,000, and preferably between 300 and 380; from 2 to 10% by weight of expanding additives. This invention also covers a manufactured article obtained by injection moulding a predefined amount of the polymer composition according to this invention, as well as a production process of such polymer composition.

A method for making a low density foamed article includes placing a desired amount of thermoplastic polyurethane foam beads in a cavity of an injection mold and closing the mold; combining in an extruder connected to the mold a molten polymer selected from the group consisting of thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers and thermoplastic ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymers with both a physical or chemical blowing agent other than a supercritical fluid present in an amount up to about 15 wt % based on molten polymer weight and a supercritical fluid that is at least one of about 0.1 to about 5 weight percent of supercritical CO.sub.2 based on molten polymer weight or about 0.1 to about 4 weight percent of supercritical N.sub.2 based on molten polymer weight, to form a mixture and injecting the mixture into the mold and foaming the mixture to form the low density foamed article.

A low-carbon, recyclable, plant-based foam insulation composition is provided. The composition includes an acrylate-functionalized plant-based organic resin. The composition further includes an amino-functionalized crosslinker. The composition also includes a chemical blowing agent. A method of manufacturing the low-carbon, recyclable, plant-based foam insulation composition is further provided. A method for preparing a low-carbon, recyclable, plant-sourced insulation foam is provided. The method comprises the step of combining an acrylate-functionalized plant-sourced organic polymer and a chemical blowing agent to give a biobased acrylate functionalized precursor. The biobased acrylate precursor and an amino-functionalized crosslinker are combined to give an uncured foam insulation composition. The uncured foam insulation composition is allowed to cure to give the plant-sourced insulation foam.
