PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF STYRENE-BUTADIENE RUBBERS COMPRISING RECYCLED RUBBER POWDER
A process for preparing a styrene-butadiene rubber includes micronized recycled rubber powder and includes the following steps: preparing a suspension having micronized recycled rubber powder, water and at least one surfactant; mixing the suspension from step (a) with at least one styrene-butadiene latex to obtain a styrene-butadiene latex having micronized recycled rubber powder; and subjecting the latex from step (b) to coagulation to obtain a coagulated styrene-butadiene rubber having micronized recycled rubber powder. In step (a), the particle size of the micronized recycled rubber powder ranges from 0.05 mm to 0.8 mm; the at least one surfactant is present in an amount ranging from 0.5% by weight to 3% by weight, with respect to total weight of the micronized recycled rubber powder; and the micronized recycled rubber powder has a concentration in water ranging from 1% by weight to 50% by weight, with respect to the total weight of the water.
Resin composition and use for same
The present disclosure relates to a novel resin composition which imposes a reduced environmental load and which is excellent in dispersibility of fine polymer particles. Provided is a resin composition containing water, fine polymer particles (A) having a specific feature, and a thermosetting resin (B) having a specific feature. The resin composition contains the water, the fine polymer particles (A), and the thermosetting resin (B) in respective specific amounts, does not substantially contain an organic solvent, and contains sulfur (S) in an amount falling within a specific range and phosphorus (P) in an amount falling within a specific range.
SYNTHETIC RUBBER LATEX COMPOSITIONS WITH IONIC LIQUID FOR ELASTOMERIC GLOVES
Provided are compositions and associated methods for producing elastomeric rubber gloves with improved strength and flexibility at desirable glove palm thicknesses. An example elastomeric rubber glove comprises a substrate formed from a composition comprising a synthetic rubber latex, and an ionic liquid. The ionic liquid may comprise a combination of one or more alkyl imidazole ionic salts. The composition may comprise one or more metal oxides, including at least one of zinc oxide, magnesium oxide, cadmium oxide, and aluminum oxide. The synthetic rubber latex compositions were found to yield a material with strength and flexibility characteristics comparable to natural latex gloves of a greater thickness. The described gloves may also be cured without the addition of Sulphur and other vulcanization or rubber accelerators, further reducing the risk of allergies and costs of production.

Polymer compositions and products formed therewith
The present disclosure provides compositions and products formed therefrom. In particular, the disclosure provides elastomeric latex articles, such as gloves and condoms, that can be prepared utilizing a styrene-polyisoprene-styrene (SIS) latex. The elastomeric articles can exhibit desired tensile properties while being substantially or completely free of undesired components, such as sulfur and zinc oxide, which can be allergens. The disclosure further provides methods of preparing elastomeric latex articles.
Green environmentally friendly adhesive dipping liquid and method for production thereof
An environment-friendly impregnation solution includes in percentage by weight: 1-15% of blocked isocyanate, 0.5-10% of special amino resin, 10-50% of rubber latex, 1-5% of auxiliaries, and the balance of water, wherein the sum of the weight percentage of each component is 100%. A method for preparing the environment-friendly impregnation solution includes adding blocked isocyanate and auxiliary A into water and stirring uniformly to obtain Composition 1; adding auxiliary B into Composition 1 and stirring uniformly to obtain Composition 2; adding special amino resin into Composition 2 and stirring uniformly, then subjecting the same to grinding to obtain Composition 3; adding rubber latex into Composition 3 and stirring uniformly to obtain the environment-friendly impregnation solution, followed by packaging. The impregnation solution of the invention does not contain toxic and harmful substances such as formaldehyde and resorcinol, and the preparation method thereof is simple.
SPRAY DRYING AID FOR A RE-DISPERSIBLE DISPERSION POWDER
The present invention is directed to specific pyrrolidone-containing polymers (PP) and its use as a spray-drying additive (also known as spray drying aid; SDA) for an aqueous polymer dispersion. The present invention is further directed to a process of manufacturing a redispersible dispersion powder (RDP) comprising said SDAs, as well as RDPs comprising said SDAs and certain applications thereof. In addition, the present invention is directed to a process for producing the specific pyrrolidone-containing polymers (PP).
