Film
A film for use in a packaging structure, comprising a coating on the film surface which comprises a binder and a particulate protuberant component able to remove a volatile organic compound from an environment in contact with the film in the packaging structure. Also provided is a packaging structure comprising such a film and a package which comprises the packaging structure.
Polyolefin Photovoltaic Backsheet Comprising a Stabilized Polypropylene Layer
Polyolefin photovoltaic (PV) backsheets comprise a polypropylene layer stabilized with (A) at least one hindered amine with 2,2,6,6-tetraalkylpiperdine or 2,2,6,6 -tetraakylpiperazinone, either or both in combination with a triazine moiety, (B) a thioester, and, optionally, (C) at least one hindered hydroxybenzoate, and/or (D) an ortho hydroxyl triazine compound. These PV backsheets exhibit a low flame spread index of <100 without the use of FR agents, and the polypropylene layer exhibits good weatherability while providing the required long term heat aging performance necessary for PV modules.
Door assembly
A door assembly. The door assembly may include at least one door panel and a door frame having a plurality of frame members including a header and a pair of side jambs. The invention may also be considered a frame member. The frame member may include a core; and a two-piece top piece adjoining the core to form a structural member. The core and the top piece may be a composite of cellulosic material and at least one other material. The door assembly may further include at least one adjacent panel. Also disclosed are door jamb frame members and mullion frame members.
Electret sheet
The present invention provides an electret sheet that exhibits excellent piezoelectricity even by light stress. The electret sheet of the invention is characterized by including a charged porous sheet, in which the electret sheet has a compressive elastic modulus of 80 to 300 MPa when compressively deformed at 25° C. and a 50% compression stress of 120 to 300 kPa at 25° C., and thus has the excellent piezoelectricity for light stress and exhibits the excellent piezoelectricity even by light stress (0.5 N or less) caused by a pulse wave or a breathing.
FOAM AND MOLDED ARTICLE
This foam has a 25% compressive strength at 23° C. of 90 kPa or lower and an elongation at break at 160° C., measured in accordance with JIS K6251, of 200% or higher. The present invention makes it possible to provide a foam with which it is possible to obtain a molded article having an exceptional appearance even in secondary processing into a complex shape, without harming the flexibility.
USES OF FLUORINATED EPOXIDES AND NOVEL MIXTURES THEREOF
This application relates to compositions comprising one or more partially fluorinated epoxides and/or one or more perfluorinated epoxides which may be useful in applications including refrigerants, air conditioning, heat transfer media, high-temperature heat pumps, organic Rankine cycles, fire extinguishing/fire suppression, propellants, foam blowing, solvents, dielectrics, and/or cleaning fluids.
Electret sheet
The present invention provides an electret sheet that retains high piezoelectricity under high-temperature condition. The electret sheet of the invention is characterized by including a charged porous sheet, in which the electret sheet has a volume resistivity of 1.0×10.sup.15 Ω.Math.cm or more at 25° C. and a dielectric breakdown voltage of 7 kV or more at 25° C. The electret sheet preferably having a volume resistivity of 1.0×10.sup.14 Ω.Math.cm or more at 37° C. and a dielectric breakdown voltage of 7 kV or more at 37° C. retains excellent piezoelectricity even after being left under a high-temperature atmosphere over a long period.
Method for Recycling Epoxy-Fiber Composites into Polyolefins
Fiber-reinforced thermoset composites are recycled by forming them into a particulate and combining the particles with a polyolefin to produce a reinforced polyolefin. A functionalized polyolefin is present in the reinforced material. The presence of the functionalized polyolefin leads to a significant increase in the reinforcing efficacy of the thermoset composite particles.
THREE-DIMENSIONAL PRINTING
The present disclosure relates to a build material for 3D printing. The build material comprises polymeric particles comprising polypropylene and at least one elastomer. The polymeric particles comprise a surface-active coating.
Process for extruding polypropylene
A process for extruding polypropylene comprising extruding a composition comprising a polypropylene and a second acid scavenger and less than about 10 ppm of a nucleating agent.
