REINFORCING FIBER, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING SAME, AND MOLDED BODY USING SAME
Provided are reinforcing fibers using an adhesive component not containing resorcinol and formaldehyde, which are excellent in adhesiveness to rubber and which can be efficiently produced while preventing contamination of production facilities, and a method for producing them, as well as a molded article using them. The reinforcing fibers have an adhesive component that contains a conjugated diene rubber and an oil, in at least a part of the surfaces thereof, wherein the vapor pressure at 20° C. of the oil is 10 Pa or less.
Rubber composition and rubber molded article using the same
A rubber composition according to the present invention includes at least a rubber component, which includes an ethylene propylene diene rubber, a peroxide crosslinking agent, and amorphous silica and further includes not less than 0.3 parts by mass of a quaternary ammonium salt with respect to 100 parts by mass of the amorphous silica. A rubber molded article according to the present invention is constituted of the rubber composition.
EXPANDED POLYPROPYLENE RESIN PARTICLE
An expanded polypropylene resin particle includes a polypropylene resin composition that serves as a base material resin. The polypropylene resin composition includes a first polypropylene resin having a melting point of 140° C. or less, a second polypropylene resin having a melting point of 145° C. or more, and a polyethylene resin having a melting point of 120° C. to 135° C. The first polypropylene resin accounts for 50 to 75 weight %, the second polypropylene resin accounts for 25 to 50 weight %, and the polyethylene resin accounts for 1 to 10 weight %, wherein the weight % is based on a total amount of the first polypropylene resin, the second polypropylene resin, and the polyethylene resin.

Process for the obtainment of a polyolefin composition
A two steps polymerization process for obtaining a polyolefin composition comprising: a) from 25 wt % to 70 wt % of a propylene homopolymer or a propylene-ethylene copolymer containing from 0.1 wt % to 10 wt % of ethylene derived units; b) from 27 wt % to 70 wt % of a copolymer of ethylene and at least one C.sub.3-C.sub.20 alpha olefins, wherein the ethylene derived units content ranges from 15 wt % to 70 wt %; c) from 3 wt % to 20 wt % of polyethylene homopolymer or an ethylene and at least one C.sub.3-C.sub.20 alpha olefins copolymer; the sum a)+b)+c) being 100, wherein said process comprises: step a) contacting under polymerization conditions propylene, optionally ethylene and the catalyst system in order to obtain component a), step b) contacting under polymerization conditions ethylene and at least one C3-C20 alpha-olefins and the catalyst system in order to obtain components b) and c); wherein the catalyst system comprises a metallocene compound and an iron complex.

SURFACE-MODIFIED FIBERS, REINFORCING FIBERS, AND MOLDED ARTICLE USING SAME
To provide surface-modified fibers and reinforcing fibers that are capable of enhancing the adhesiveness to rubber, without the use of resorcinol and formaldehyde, and a molded article using the same. Surface-modified fibers include fibers, and a surface-modifying layer covering at least a part of a surface of the fibers, and have a solid surface zeta potential on a surface of the surface-modifying layer of −20.0 to 30.0 mV.
EXPANDED BEAD AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
An expanded bead having a tubular shape with a through hole and a method for producing the same are provided. The expanded bead includes a foamed core layer and a covering layer. A polyolefin-based resin included in the covering layer has a melting point lower than a melting point of a polypropylene-based resin included in the foamed core layer. An average hole diameter d of the through hole of the expanded bead is less than 1 mm, and a ratio d/D of the average hole diameter d to an average outer diameter D of the expanded bead is 0.4 or less. The polypropylene-based resin for the foamed core layer has a flexural modulus of 1,200 MPa or more and a melting point of 158° C. or lower.
Process for producing modified poly(propene), the modified poly(propene) and the use thereof, and the polymer blend
The present application refers to a process for the modification of polypropylene, wherein amount, size and configuration of the branches are controlled, the process comprising the steps of (A) preparing a bis(sulphonazide) (BSA) masterbatch by dispersing BSA in polyolefin; (B) adding (i) at least one fatty acid salt with metal cation having valence of 1.sup.+ to 3.sup.+; and (ii) the BSA masterbatch prepared in step (A) to the polypropylene to be modified. Said modified polypropylene of the present invention possesses properties suitable for use in foaming, blowing, thermoforming, recoating, film extrusion, BOPP, spinning processes and other processes and applications, and it is also suitable to be in contact with food products.
