The invention provides a heat-shrinkable polyester-based film roll obtained by winding a heat-shrinkable polyester-based film with a shrinkage ratio of 30% or more in a film main shrinkage direction in hot water at 90° C. for 10 seconds. The film roll has a winding length of 2000-25000 m and a width of 400-2500 mm. The film has a thickness of 5-40 μm. In thickness unevenness in a width direction of the film on a surface layer of the film roll, there are positions having concave thickness patterns, and in a concave portion that has a maximum thickness difference (maximum concave portion), thickness unevenness in the maximum concave portion, which is obtained from the maximum thickness difference in the maximum concave portion and an average thickness of the film is 10% or less. The winding hardness of the surface layer of the film roll is 400-800.

Pre-treating a waste polyester material with dichloromethane (DCM) produce purified polyester for reuse. The purified polyester can be recycled via any chemical or mechanical recycling process. Where the waste polyester material includes non-polyester contaminants, the DCM-treated polyester material produces a slurry that includes the DCM, a solid component that includes a polyester monomer product for reuse, and a waste liquid component where the non-polyester contaminants can be filtered from the top of the liquid component.

Other aspects of the disclosure pertain to methods of forming such thermoformed webs, packaged products comprising such thermoformed webs, and methods of recycling such thermoformed webs.

A polyester-based sealant film of a first aspect of the present invention is a laminated film composed of at least two layers and having a sealing layer and an outermost layer, in which the sealing layer includes a copolymerized polyester formed from a copolymer of terephthalic acid as well as another dicarboxylic acid component and a diol component, the outermost layer includes homopolyethylene terephthalate as a main component, the laminated film has a lamination configuration in which a content proportion (mol %) of the other dicarboxylic acid component in each layer decreases from the sealing layer toward the outermost layer, and a heat seal strength obtainable when the sealing layers of the laminated films are sealed at 0.2 MPa for 1 second in the range of 140° C. to 220° C. is 25 N/15 mm or higher.

The invention provides a laminated polyester film that is highly transparent, is resistant to blocking, and has excellent adhesion to a hardcoat layer and UV ink. The laminated polyester film contains a polyester film substrate and a coating layer on at least one surface of the polyester film substrate. The coating layer is formed by curing a composition containing a urethane resin with a polycarbonate structure, a crosslinking agent, and a polyester resin. The maximum value of a nitrogen element distribution curve based on element distribution measurement of the coating layer in the depth direction is present in the vicinity of the surface of the coating layer on a side opposite to the polyester film substrate. The polycarbonate structure is present in a suitable amount at the surface of the coating layer on a side opposite to the polyester film substrate.
