A composition with improved adhesive and sealant properties comprises a) a pre-polymer comprising a polymeric unit of the general formula (-A-B-).sub.n, wherein A represents a substituted or un-substituted ester, B represents a substituted or un-substituted acid ester comprising at least two acid ester functionalities, and n represents an integer greater than 1; wherein the content of grafted anhydride in the composition is less than 0.05 mol/mol of polyacid.

The present inventions in various aspects provide elastic biodegradable polymers. In various embodiments, the polymers are formed by the reaction of a multifunctional alcohol or ether and a difunctional or higher order acid to form a pre-polymer, which is cross-linked to form the elastic biodegradable polymer. In preferred embodiments, the cross-linking is performed by functionalization of one or more OR groups on the pre-polymer backbone with vinyl, followed by photopolymerization to form the elastic biodegradable polymer composition or material. Preferably, acrylate is used to add one or more vinyls to the backbone of the pre-polymer to form an acrylated pre-polymer. In various embodiments, acrylated pre-polymers are co-polymerized with one or more acrylated co-polymers.

POLYCYCLIC AROMATIC HYDROCARBON PHOTOCURABLE RESIN COMPOSITION
Provided is a photo-curable resin composition that is useful for the formation of a wafer edge part protection film for use in the production of a semiconductor. The photo-curable resin composition comprises: a compound containing a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon group derived from naphthalene, anthracene, phenanthrene, pyrene or the like and/or a polymer such as polyvinyl alcohol, polyacrylamide, a (meth)acrylic resin, polyamic acid, polyhydroxystyrene, a polyhydroxystyrene derivative, a copolymer of a polymethacrylate and maleic anhydride, an epoxy resin, a phenolic resin, a novolac resin, polyimide, cellulose, a cellulose derivative, starch, chitin, chitosan, gelatin, zein, a sugar-backbone polymeric compound, polyamide, polyethylene terephthalate, a polycarbonate, polyurethane, polysiloxane or the like; and a solvent. The composition has a viscosity of 100 cps or less at 25 C. and is cured with light having a wavelength of 170 to 800 nm.
Resin-coated metal sheet for containers
The resin-coated metal sheet for containers includes a resin coating layer (A) having a multilayered structure mainly composed of a polyester resin on at least one surface thereof. The resin coating layer (A) includes a resin layer (a1). The resin layer (a1) adheres to the metal sheet, contains (i) a polyester resin, (ii) a phenolic resin, (iii) a metal alkoxide compound and/or a metal chelate compound, (iv) an epoxy resin, and (v) at least one selected from the group consisting of polyamine resins, polyamidoamine resins, and polyamide resins, and is mainly composed of the polyester resin. Preferably, a polyester film (a2) is disposed on the resin layer (a1).
