Component A1 comprises a diurethane diol A1.1 and a compound A1.2 selected from the group consisting of polyether polyol, polyester polyol, polyether carbonate polyol, and polyether ester polyol. Also disclosed is a rigid PUR/PIR foam, an insulating material, a composite element, and a mixture.
Long term improvement of thermal insulation values in rigid polyisocyanurate/polyurethane comprising insulation foams
Polyisocyanurate (PIR) and/or polyurethane (PUR) comprising insulation foams having significantly improved long term insulation values are disclosed as well as a processing method to fabricate said improved insulation foams and use of the improved insulation foams for thermal insulation.
SOLVENT BORNE THERMOSET POLYAMIDE URETHANE AND/OR UREA BASED COATINGS
The present invention relates to thermoset polymer solution, such as a polyurethanes and/or polyureas that include sufficient polyamide to give polyamide strength, adhesion, and durability, wherein the polymer solutions can be prepared as a one-component or two component solvent-borne coating composition. The polyamides give a harder, more chemical resistant, and often tougher thermoset, than similar water-borne polyurethanes rich in polyamide. The compositions of this disclosure differ from other polyamides as they have been formulated to be appropriate viscosity to use as coatings and then have crosslinking technology to form hard thermoset films.
SILICONE POLYURETHANE, STRETCHABLE FILM, AND METHOD FOR FORMING THE STRETCHABLE FILM
A silicone polyurethane has a maleimide group at least at a terminal. Thus, the present invention provides: a silicone polyurethane which serves as a material for a stretchable film excellent in stretchability and strength and also in water repellency on the film surface; such a stretchable film; and a method for forming the stretchable film.
Sheet molding compound, prepreg, and fiber-reinforced composite material
A sheet molding compound includes an epoxy resin composition meeting (I) and/or (II): (I) a component has a hydroxy group equivalent weight of 20 to 120, and (II) carbon fibers are bundle-shaped aggregates of discontinuous carbon fibers such that in a plane that has a largest width perpendicular to an alignment direction of the carbon fibers, two acute angles, referred to as angle a and angle b, formed between the alignment direction of the carbon fibers and sides formed by arrays of both ends of the carbon fibers in the bundle-shaped aggregates are 2° or more and 30° or less, the epoxy resin composition has a viscosity at 30° C. of 3.0×104 Pa.Math.s or more and 1.0×106 Pa.Math.s or less, and the epoxy resin composition has a viscosity at 120° C. of 1.0×102 Pa.Math.s or more and 5.0×103 Pa.Math.s or less.
Reaction Mixture Suitable for Manufacturing of Foam with Reduced Aldehyde Emission
Disclosed is a reaction mixture for the manufacturing of a polyurethane foam, which mixture can be obtained by reacting a polyfunctional isocyanate with an isocyanate-reactive compound, in the presence of a scavenger and at least one catalyst; and curing such reaction mixture enables providing a foam with reduced aldehyde emissions particularly useful in means of transport, such as interior part of cars.
WATERBORNE POLYURETHANE DISPERSION AND METHOD FOR PREPARING THE SAME
Provided is a waterborne polyurethane dispersion. The waterborne polyurethane dispersion is prepared in the presence of a hydrophilic amino siloxane compound and exhibits good anti-stickiness while retaining superior mechanical properties. A laminated synthetic leather article prepared with said waterborne polyurethane dispersion as well the method for preparing the synthetic leather article are also provided.
Low-damping polyurethane elastomer
The present invention relates to a method of preparing a polyurethane elastomer, said method comprising the step of reacting at least one isocyanate composition (ZI) and one polyol composition (ZP) comprising a poly-ε-caprolactone polyol and an α-hydro-ω-hydroxy-poly(oxytetramethylene) polyol to obtain an isocyanate-functional prepolymer and the step of reacting the prepolymer obtained as per step (i) with at least one chain extender (KV). The present invention further relates to a polyurethane elastomer obtained or obtainable according to a method of the invention and also to the method of using a polyurethane elastomer according to the invention or a polyurethane elastomer obtained or obtainable according to a method of the invention in the manufacture of a shaped article, especially a damping element, a shock absorber or a stop buffer or part of a shoe or of a shoe sole, for example part of an insert sole or of a midsole.
