NON-ISOCYANATE POLYURETHANE PRODUCTS AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
The present disclosure relates to a method for making a non-isocyanate polyurethane (NIPU) foam, where the method includes decomposing a blowing agent having at least one of an amine carbamate salt and/or an amine bicarbonate salt to form a diamine and CO.sub.2 in the presence of a molecule comprising a plurality of cyclic carbonate functional groups and reacting the diamine with at least a portion of the cyclic carbonate functional groups to form the NIPU foam. In some embodiments of the present disclosure, the reacting and the decomposing may occur at substantially the same rate.
PROCESS FOR PRODUCING POROUS MATERIALS
The present invention relates to a process for preparing a porous material, at least comprising the steps of providing a mixture (I) comprising a composition (A) comprising components suitable to form an organic gel and a solvent (B), reacting the components in the composition (A) in the presence of the solvent (B) to form a gel, and drying of the gel obtained in step b), wherein the composition (A) comprises at least one compound (af) comprising phosphorous and at least one functional group which is reactive towards isocyanates. The invention further relates to the porous materials which can be obtained in this way and the use of the porous materials as thermal insulation material and in vacuum insulation panels, in particular in interior or exterior thermal insulation systems as well as in water tank or ice maker insulation systems.
PROCESS FOR PRODUCING POROUS MATERIALS
The present invention relates to a process for preparing a porous material, at least comprising the steps of providing a mixture (I) comprising a composition (A) comprising components suitable to form an organic gel and a solvent (B), reacting the components in the composition (A) in the presence of the solvent (B) to form a gel, and drying of the gel obtained in step b). According to the present invention, the composition (A) comprises a catalyst system (CS) comprising a component (C1) selected from the group consisting of alkali metal and earth alkali metal salts of a saturated or unsaturated carboxylic acid and a component (C2) selected from the group consisting of ammonium salts of a saturated or unsaturated carboxylic acid and no carboxylic acid is used as a component of the catalyst system. The invention further relates to the porous materials which can be obtained in this way and the use of the porous materials as thermal insulation material and in vacuum insulation panels, in particular in interior or exterior thermal insulation systems as well as in water tank or ice maker insulation systems.

Polyurethane foam by reaction injection molding
The present invention provides a method for preparing a foam that includes a polyurethaneurea dispersion. These foams have enhanced flexibility and resistance to compressibility compared to convention polyurethane foam. These foams may also be made by a reaction injection molding process. The method includes preparing a shaped polyurethane foam article by: (a) providing a first composition comprising at least one polyol, a chain extender composition and a blowing agent; (b) providing a second composition comprising at least one of a diisocyanate, a capped glycol, and combinations thereof; (c) mixing the first composition and the second composition to form a reaction mixture into a heated mold; and (d) allowing the reaction mixture to form a polyurethane foam; wherein the first composition includes one of: (i) the chain extender composition includes at least one amine compound; (ii) the blowing agent includes a polyurethaneurea aqueous dispersion; and (iii) combinations of (i) and (ii).

AMINE-FUNCTIONALIZED POLYMERIC COMPOSITIONS FOR MEDICAL DEVICES
The present disclosure provides amine-modified polymer foams, which may be used for wound dressing materials. For example, the modified materials can include a covalently attached molecule comprising free amine groups. Such amine groups can be used, for instance, to conjugate biologically active polypeptides and/or linkers. Methods for using modified polymers are also provided.
Flame retardant polyurethane foam and method for producing same
A polyurethane foam having an initial UL 94 vertical flame classification of V-0 and maintaining a UL 94 vertical flame classification of V-0 after one week of heat aging at 150 C. is formed as the reaction product of an isocyanate component and an isocyanate-reactive component in the presence of a blowing agent. The isocyanate component includes an isocyanate-containing compound and a non-reactive phosphorous compound that is present in an amount ranging from 1 to 20 weight percent based on the total weight of the polyurethane foam. The isocyanate-reactive component includes a polyether polyol and expandable graphite that is present in an amount ranging from 3 to 30 weight percent based on the total weight of the polyurethane foam.

The present disclosure provides amine-modified polymer foams, which may be used for wound dressing materials. For example, the modified materials can include a covalently attached molecule comprising free amine groups.
