Transparent poly(phenylene ether) compositions, their methods of manufacture, and food packaging films and containers derived therefrom
This invention generally relates to transparent compositions containing a blend of poly(phenylene ether) and styrenic polymer, methods for their manufacture, and food packaging films and containers derived therefrom.
COMBINED MATERIAL SYSTEM FOR ION EXCHANGE MEMBRANES AND THEIR USE IN ELECTROCHEMICAL PROCESSES
Described is a method for producing covalently and/or ionically cross-linked blend membranes from a halomethylated polymer, a polymer comprising tertiary N-basic groups, preferably polybenzimidazole, and, optionally, a polymer comprising cation exchanger groups such as sulfonic acid groups or phosphonic acid groups. The membranes can be tailor-made in respect of the properties thereof and are suitable, for example, for use as cation exchanger membranes or anion exchanger membranes in low-temperature fuel cells or low-temperature electrolysis or in redox flow batteries, orwhen doped with proton conductors such as phosphoric acid or phosphonic acidfor use in medium-temperature fuel cells or medium-temperature electrolysis.
Polyethylene film, laminate and package using the same
There is provided a polyethylene film and a laminate which can be used to produce a package having high heat resistance, strength and recycling suitability in place of a lamination film conventionally used in a package. The polyethylene film of the present invention is irradiated with an electron beam on its only one side, and comprises polyethylene and a crosslinking agent, in which the crosslink density of the polyethylene is different between the side irradiated with an electron beam and the other side not irradiated with an electron beam.
EXPANDABLE THERMOPLASTIC POLYMER PARTICLES WITH A CONTENT OF RECYCLED MATERIAL, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
The invention relates to expandable polymer particles with a content of recycled material based on styrene polymers, to a method for producing same, and to the use of the expandable polymer particles in a molded foam part. The expandable polymer particles contain 10 to 99 wt. %, based on the total weight, of at least one recycled material (A), which comprises at least one styrene polymer (A-1) and which largely consists of styrene polymers. 1 to 10 wt. %, based on the total weight, of at least one propellant (C), and optionally at least one primary polymer (B), at least one nucleating agent (D), and/or at least one additive (E).
