COMPOSITES HAVING A THERMOPLASTIC MATRIX
The present invention is directed to continuous fiber-reinforced composites having a matrix of modified PVDF. The composite may be a semifinished product or a product or finished part manufactured therefrom. A product according to the invention is pelletized long-fiber material, while a finished part according to the invention is especially a thermoplastic composite pipe.
Curable composition, film, cured product, and medical member
A curable composition contains a betaine monomer having a predetermined structure and a polyfunctional (meth)acrylamide compound having a predetermined structure.
GRAPHIC SHEET AND LIGHTING SYSTEM USING GRAPHIC SHEET
A graphic sheet including: a transparent rigid film substrate; and a receptor layer disposed on the transparent rigid film substrate, the receptor layer containing an acrylic polymer and a white pigment filler; wherein the receptor layer contains not less than 5 parts by mass and not more than 50 parts by mass of the white pigment filler per 100 parts by mass of the acrylic polymer; and a total visible light transmittance of the sheet is not less than 8% and not greater than 50% is described.
Resin molded body and method for producing resin molded body
A resin molded body, includes: a polyolefin element including a crystalline region and an amorphous region; and a hydrophilic polymer contained in a region from a surface of the polyolefin element to part of the amorphous region located below the surface. Or, a method for producing a resin molded body, includes: preparing a polyolefin element including a crystalline region and an amorphous region; forming a coating of a hydrophilic polymer on a surface of the polyolefin element; and applying heat treatment to the polyolefin element on which the coating of the hydrophilic polymer is formed, wherein by applying the heat treatment, the coating of the hydrophilic polymer is immersed in a region from the surface to part of the amorphous region located below the surface.
COMPOSITE FILM AND METHODS OF FORMING A COMPOSITE FILM
According to one aspect, a composite film may include a substrate, and a protection coating overlying the substrate. The protection coating may include a urethane acrylate 6-functional oligomer, and a urethane acrylate 2-functional oligomer. The protection coating may further include a urethane acrylate oligomer ratio UAC.sub.6/UAC.sub.2 of at least about 0.5 and not greater than about 3, where UAC.sub.6 is equal to the content of the urethane acrylate 6-functional oligomer in wt. % for a total weight of the protection coating and UAC.sub.2 is equal to the content of the urethane acrylate 2-functional oligomer in wt. % for a total dry weight of the protection coating.
METHOD FOR SURFACE TREATMENT PRIOR TO METALLIZATION
There is provided a method for treating a surface comprising heating the object and the object with a solution comprising a thermal initiator and a polymerizable molecule, wherein the polymerizable molecule reacts with the surface and forms a covalent bond and optionally a covalently bound polymer on the surface of the object. Metal ions are bound to the surface to make the surface possible for adding further metal later. Advantages include that complicated geometries can be coated, problems with oxygen inhibition of the initiator is reduced, and surface reaction to form covalent bonds is promoted compared to the bulk polymerization reaction.
COATINGS
Described herein are surface-treated polymeric substrates. Also described herein are polymeric coatings, which may be used as surface treatments.
ORGANIC-INORGANIC ADHESIVE COMPOSITION, AND GAS BARRIER FILM COMPRISING SAME
An organic-inorganic adhesive composition and a gas barrier film including the same are disclosed. The organic-inorganic adhesive composition includes: a silane compound including at least one functional group of a vinyl group, an acryloxy group, a methacryloxy group, or a combination thereof; an amine group-containing compound; an isocyanate-based compound; and an acid catalyst, wherein a pH of the organic-inorganic adhesive composition is from 5 to 8.
COMPOSITE FILM AND DISPLAY DEVICE COMPRISING SAME
In the composite film according to the embodiment, an elastic layer in which its modulus change characteristics with respect to temperature have been adjusted to a certain range is coated onto the opposite side to a hard coating layer; thus, it is possible to enhance the surface hardness and elastic recovery characteristics of the hard coating layer. Thus, it can be advantageously applied as a cover window of a flexible display device.
COMPOSITE FILM HAVING A FUNCTIONAL LAYER AND DISPLAY DEVICE COMPRISING SAME
The composite film according to an embodiment adopts an acrylate-based binder and an acrylamide-based monomer in a single functional layer for antistatic, antifouling, and chemical resistant functions to exhibit flexible characteristics without deteriorating the adhesive strength to a substrate; thus, it can be applied as a cover window of a flexible display device.
