MATERIAL FOR ENSURING THE FLOATABILITY AND/OR THE THERMAL INSULATION OF A SUBMARINE PIPELINE
A material includes from 40 to 60% by volume of polymer matrix relative to the total volume of the material, and from 40 to 60% by volume, relative to the total volume of the material, of expanded thermoplastic microspheres. The membrane is composed of block polymers or copolymers. The microspheres are coated with a layer composed of nanoparticles of silicon dioxide and/or of titanium dioxide. A method for manufacturing is provided for making the material and the use of this material is provided for ensuring the floatability and/or for thermally insulating all or part of a submarine pipeline.
PARTICLE-REINFORCED NITRILE-CONTAINING COMPOSITES
A fiber reinforced composite material comprising the following components: (i) polyacrylonitrile (PAN) particles containing an acrylonitrile content of 80-100 mol % and present in an amount of 0.001-15 wt % by weight of components (i) and (ii); and (ii) a nitrile-containing polymer having a composition different than the PAN particles; wherein nitrile groups in component (i) are crosslinked with nitrile groups of component (ii), and wherein said PAN particles are dispersed in component (ii). Methods for producing the composite material, molded forms thereof, and articles thereof, are also described.
METHOD FOR RECLAIMING FIBERS FROM TEXTILES WASTE
A method for reclaiming fibers from a textile made of cellulose/synthetic fiber blend, comprising adding the textile to a solution comprising molten salt hydrate (MSH) and an acid catalyst to form a reaction mixture in which cellulose fibers are fibrillated and depolymerized, terminating the reaction to obtain fibrillated and depolymerized cellulose, recovering the cellulose from the re-action mixture, and recovering the synthetic fiber.
FOAMING CURABLE COMPOSITION
Provided is a foaming curable composition containing a heat-curable elastomer (A), a chemical foaming agent (B), and expandable particles (C) having a shell and an encapsulated component, wherein the chemical foaming agent (B) contains a hydrazine-based foaming agent (B1), and the peak foaming temperature of the chemical foaming agent (B) is 5 C. to 50 C. higher than the peak expansion temperature of the expandable particles (C). This novel foaming curable composition has good foaming and adhesive properties, as well as good properties after standing uncured.
COPOLYMER FOR SEPARATOR AND SECONDARY BATTERY COMPRISING SAME
The present invention relates to: a copolymer prepared by copolymerizing and hydrolyzing two or more monomers selected from the group consisting of an acrylonitrile-based monomer, an acrylate-based monomer, and an acrylic acid-based monomer with a vinyl acetate-based monomer; and a core-shell particle, a slurry composition, a separator, and a secondary battery which comprise same.
Ethylene Polymer Layers And Layered Films Made Therefrom
Ethylene polymer and copolymer layered greenhouse film compositions comprising thermoexpandable microcells exhibiting enhanced thermicity and manufacturing methods related thereto. A greenhouse film composition including at least one foamable film layer composition comprising a thermal expandable microsphere masterbatch component and an ethylene-based polymer component, wherein the greenhouse film comprises less than 20% by weight of a total of one or both of ethylene vinyl acetate or ethylene acetyl acetate.
Polishing pad and method for producing polished product
A polishing pad including a polyurethane sheet as a polishing layer, wherein the polyurethane sheet has a ratio (E.sub.B40/E.sub.T40) of a storage elastic modulus E.sub.B40 at 40 C. in dynamic viscoelasticity measurement performed under a bending mode condition with a frequency of 1.6 Hz to a storage elastic modulus E.sub.T40 at 40 C. in dynamic viscoelasticity measurement performed under a tension mode condition with a frequency of 1.6 Hz of 0.60 to 1.60.
