Polyisocyanate compound, polyurethane resin forming composition using same, and cured product of said composition
Provided are a composition capable of forming a cured product with excellent hardness, scratch resistance, chemical resistance, and flexibility; and a polyisocyanate compound that can be used as a curing agent for the composition. The polyisocyanate compound is represented by Formula (1), wherein R.sup.1 to R.sup.3 are identical or different and are a group represented by Formula (1a), wherein L.sup.1 and L.sup.2 are identical or different and represent an alkylene group having from 1 to 10 carbons, m represents a number of 0 or greater, L.sup.3 represents a divalent hydrocarbon group having from 4 to 18 carbons, and X represents an isocyanate group or a blocked isocyanate group blocked with a blocking agent, where m is not simultaneously 0 for R.sup.1 to R.sup.3, and the bond with the wavy line bonds to a nitrogen atom in Formula (1). In addition, the composition contains a polyisocyanate compound and a polyacrylic polyol. ##STR00001##
RESIN PARTICLES AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
Provided are resin particles which have excellent thermal bondability, excellent low-temperature fixability, excellent heat resistant storage stability and high bonding strength, and which provide a coating film that has high gloss and excellent water resistance. The resin particles are composed of resin particles (X), each of which has a shell layer (S) containing a crystalline polyurethane resin (B) on the surface of a core layer (Q) containing a crystalline resin (A). The maximum peak temperature (Ta) of the heat of fusion of the crystalline resin (A) is 40 to 70 C. and the maximum peak temperature (Tu) of the heat of fusion of the crystalline polyurethane resin (B) is 50 to 90 C.
SHAPE MEMORY POLYMERS
Shape memory polymers allow the fabrication of objects that have a permanent (first) shape, and which can be programmed to adopt a temporary (second) shape, and are able to largely recover their original (first) shape by applying an appropriate stimulus. Materials that permit the fabrication of objects and devices that can (i) be provided in their permanent shape, (ii) be heated to a switching temperature above physiological temperature, at which the material becomes shapeable, (iii) be inserted into the body or placed in contact with the body and be deformed or shapedto assume a desired temporary shape, (iv) be fixed in the desired temporary shape by keeping the material/device/object at body temperature (about 37 C.) for a convenient period of time, (v) largely retain this temporary shape if removed from the body, and (vi) return largely to their original shape when heated again above the switching temperature. A process for making such materials and disclosed products based on such materials are disclosed.
ANTI-REFLECTIVE FILM, POLARIZING PLATE, AND DISPLAY APPARATUS
The present invention relates to an anti-reflective film that comprises a low moisture permeable polymer film, a hard coating layer and a low refractive index layer and that has low reflectance deviation and light transmittance deviation, can simultaneously realize high scratch resistance and anti-fouling property, and can increase screen sharpness of a display apparatus, a polarizing plate and a display apparatus comprising the same.
WATER-BARRIER LAMINATED FILM
A water-barrier laminated film (10) including a plastic film (A) that has an inorganic barrier layer (A1) on the surface thereof and a water-trapping layer (B), characterized in that: between the plastic film (A) and the water-trapping layer (B), an isocyanate type coating (C) is provided that contains, as a film-forming component, an isocyanate type polymer obtained by reacting an isocyanate as the reaction component; and the water-trapping layer (B) is formed on the isocyanate type coating (C) that is formed as the underlying layer.
LOW Tg POLYURETHANE PROTECTIVE DISPLAY FILM
A display film includes a transparent cross-linked polyurethane layer. The transparent cross-linked polyurethane layer having a glass transition temperature of 10 degrees Celsius or less and a Tan Delta peak value of 0.5 or greater.
Aqueous basecoat material for producing a coating
The present invention relates to an aqueous two-component basecoat material (b) comprising (b.1) a base component comprising (1) at least one polyurethane resin having a hydroxyl number of 15 to 100 mg KOH/g and an acid number of 10 to 50 mg KOH/g, (2) at least one aqueous dispersion comprising water and a polyurethane resin fraction consisting of at least one polyurethane resin, the polyurethane resin fraction having a gel fraction of at least 50%, having its glass transition at a temperature of less than 20 C. and having its melting transition at a temperature of less than 100 C., (3) at least one color and/or effect pigment, at least one pigment (3) being used in the form of at least one pigment paste comprising at least one polyurethane resin (1) as pasting resin, and (b.2) a curing component comprising (4) at least one hydrophilically modified polyisocyanate (4) having an isocyanate content of 8% to 18%.

A compound having a structure represented by the following Formula (I), where Q.sup.1 and Q.sup.2 individually represent a functional group containing a CC unsaturated bond and J.sup.1 and J.sup.2 individually represent a flame retardant group containing a phosphorus atom, useful in a resin composition for fabricating articles such as a prepreg, a resin film, a laminate or a printed circuit board, such that the articles have improved one or more properties including glass transition temperature, ratio of thermal expansion, peel strength, thermal resistance, dielectric constant, dissipation factor and flame retardancy. ##STR00001##
Polyurethane compositions, films, and methods thereof
Provided compositions, films, and methods impart a low-surface energy surface to a polyurethane layer whereby contaminants to bead up on the surface to dramatically facilitate removal. At the same time, the provided articles retain excellent clarity and processibility for use in surface protection applications. Compositions having these advantageous properties derive from reacting a primary polyisocyanate; a monohydroxyl polydimethylsiloxane present in a suitable amount; and a polyol selected from the group consisting of: a caprolactone polyol, polycarbonate polyol, a polyester polyol, acrylic polyol, polyether polyol, polyolefin polyol, and mixtures thereof.
REACTIVE ADHESIVES HAVING A LOW MONOMERIC DIISOCYANATE CONTENT
The present invention relates to a reactive adhesive comprising the reaction product of a polyester, constructed from the monomers A, B and C, where A=phthalic acid or phthalic anhydride, B=at least one organic acid having at least two acid groups or the corresponding anhydride or the corresponding ester, with the proviso that B is not A, and C=at least one diol, and that the molar ratio of the monomers A to monomers B is from 1:10 to 10:1, as polyol and optionally one or more further polyols, with a diisocyanate, which is characterized in that the average OH number of the polyols used is from 10 to 30 mg KOH/g polyols, the ratio of OH of the polyols used to NCO groups of the diisocyanate used is from 1:1.2 to 1:4.0, and the reaction product has a viscosity of 1 to 200 Pa*s at 130 C. and also a method for production thereof and also use of the reactive adhesive.
