Provided are rapidly cross-linkable silicone foam compositions, kits, and methods for filling implanted medical devices in situ or in vivo, the implanted medical devices, including for example, body implants and tissue expanders, the compositions including a platinum divinyl disiloxane complex; a low viscosity vinyl terminated polydimethylsiloxane; a low viscosity hydride terminated polydimethylsiloxane; a silicone cross-linker; and a gas and/or gas-filled microcapsules, where the rapidly cross-linkable silicone foam composition has a viscosity of 150 cPs for 1 min. post-preparation and 300 cPs5 min. post-preparation, at ambient temperature.
Silicone release coating composition and article having cured release coating
A silicone release coating composition is disclosed. The silicone release coating composition comprises: (A) an organopolysiloxane having at least two alkenyl groups in a molecule; (B) an organopolysiloxane having at least two silicon-bonded hydrogen atoms in a molecule; (C) organic modified functional silica particles having an average particle size of 5 m to 15 m and a BET specific surface area of 600 m.sup.2/g to 800 m.sup.2/g; and (D) a hydrosilylation reaction catalyst. The silicone release coating composition can form a coating with a lower release force to sticky adhesive.
Hydrophilic polymer compositions
The present disclosure relates to methods for preparing a hydrophilic composition including intimately mixing a silicone component including at least one polysiloxane and a polymer component, and to hydrophobic polymer compositions prepared thereby. One aspect of the disclosure provides an article having a major exterior surface, the article comprising an intimate mixture of a silicone component including at least one polysiloxane; and a polymer component including at least one hydrophilic polymer having a water-absorption capacity of at least 50 wt. %; wherein the silicone component and the polymer component are present in the mixture in a dry weight ratio within the range of 99.9:0.1 to 30:70. In certain desirable embodiments as otherwise described herein, the intimate mixture is disposed at an exterior surface of the article, e.g., at the major exterior surface of the article.
SPONGE-FORMING LIQUID SILICONE RUBBER COMPOSITION AND SILICONE RUBBER SPONGE
A sponge-forming liquid silicone rubber composition is provided. The composition generally maintains a stable emulsified state, can form a low-density silicone rubber sponge having a uniform and fine open-cell foam structure even when a coating or molding method involving shearing force and thin layer formation is used, is less likely to contract during curing, and that forms a silicone rubber sponge having a density close to the density designed on the basis of water content. A low-density silicone rubber sponge material using the sponge-forming liquid silicone rubber composition is also provided. The sponge-forming liquid silicone rubber composition comprises (A) an alkenyl group-containing organopolysiloxane, (B) an organopolysiloxane having a silicon atom-bonded hydrogen atom, (C) a mixture of water and an inorganic thickener, (D) an emulsifier, and (E) a hydrosilylation reaction catalyst. The contained amount of the component (C) in the entire composition is 70 mass % or more.
THERMOPLASTIC COPOLYMER BLOCK POLYAMIDE SILICONE ELASTOMERS
A thermoplastic elastomer composition comprising a blend of (A) a thermoplastic organic polyether block amide copolymer, (B) a silicone composition comprising (B1) a silicone base comprising (B1a) a diorganopolysiloxane polymer having a viscosity of at least 1000000 mPa.Math.s at 25 C. and an average of at least 2 alkenyl groups per molecule and (B1b) a reinforcing filler in an amount of from 1 to 50% by weight based on the weight of (B1a), (B2) an organohydrido silicone compound which contains an average of at least 2 silicon-bonded hydrogen groups per molecule, (C) a hydrosilylation catalyst, and optionally: one or more additives component (D), wherein the weight ratio of thermoplastic organic polyether block amide copolymer (A) to the silicone composition (B) is in the range 50:50 to 95:5, and wherein component (B2) and (C) are present in an amount sufficient to cure said silicone composition (B1).

SILICONE ELASTOMER COMPOSITIONS
The present disclosure relates to curable silicone elastomer compositions having enhanced adhesive properties with respect to a wide variety of substrates (hereafter referred to as curable silicone elastomer compositions). Elastomers made by curing the curable silicone elastomer compositions may be adhered to a wide variety of substrates to form composites comprising the elastomers and the substrates. Processes for adhering the elastomers made by curing the curable silicone elastomer compositions to the substrates are also provided. An adhesion promoter, component (D), is provided to enhance adhesion. Component (D) is a polyorganosiloxane having (i) at least one unsaturated group per molecule selected from alkenyl groups and alkynyl groups and (ii) an anhydride functionality and an aromatic functionality, wherein a carbon of the aromatic functionality is separated from a carbon of a carbonyl group of the anhydride by a carbon chain of from 1 to 3 non-aromatic carbon atoms inclusive.
Rigid polyurethane foam formulation and foam made therefrom
A rigid polyurethane foam formulation comprising a polyol composition comprising, by weight based on the weight of the polyol composition, more than 70% of at least one polyester polyol having an average hydroxyl number of from 150 to less than 300 mg KOH/g and an average functionality of at least 2; a blowing agent comprising water and an auxiliary blowing agent; a silicone copolymer surfactant; from 1% to 5% by weight based on the weight of the polyol composition, of a cyclic siloxane having a surface tension less than 21 dynes/cm at 25? C., wherein the weight ratio of the cyclic siloxane to the silicone copolymer surfactant is from 0.6 to less than 2.27; a catalyst, and optionally a flame retardant; and a polyisocyanate; such that the isocyanate index is in the range of from 180 to 500; a rigid polyurethane foam formed from the foam formulation; and a method of forming a rigid polyurethane foam.
