Rubber composition, processing method thereof, and flame-retardant product using the same

The present invention discloses a rubber composition, a processing method for obtaining the rubber composition, and application of the composition in processing of flame-retardant products. The rubber composition includes a rubber matrix and essential components. The rubber matrix includes a branched polyethylene with a content represented as A, in which 0<A≤100, and an EPM and an EPDM with a total content represented as B, in which 0≤B<100. The essential components include 1.5 to 10 parts of a crosslinking agent and 40 to 300 parts of a flame-retardant agent. The rubber composition can be applied to production of flame-retardant products, such as flame-retardant cable, flame-retardant cool air hose for automobile, flame-retardant sealing strip, high-temperature-resistant flame-retardant conveyor belt, and flame-retardant waterproof coil. The products have good flame-retardant effects and mechanical properties.

SURFACE-MODIFIED FIBERS, REINFORCING FIBERS, AND MOLDED ARTICLE USING SAME

To provide surface-modified fibers and reinforcing fibers that are capable of enhancing the adhesiveness to rubber, without the use of resorcinol and formaldehyde, and a molded article using the same. Surface-modified fibers include fibers, and a surface-modifying layer covering at least a part of a surface of the fibers, and have a solid surface zeta potential on a surface of the surface-modifying layer of −20.0 to 30.0 mV.

VULCANIZING COMPOSITION CONTAINING CYCLODODECASULFUR AND IMPROVED CYCLODODECASULFUR COMPOUND

A vulcanizing composition useful for the vulcanization of vulcanizable formulations is disclosed. The vulcanizing composition includes a vulcanizing agent which in turn includes a cyclododecasulfur compound. A cyclododecasulfur compound characterized by a DSC melt point onset of between 155° C. and 167° C. when measured at a DSC heat rate of 20° C./minute is also disclosed.

An object of the present invention is to provide a laminate of an olefin-type rubber, which is non-polar or has a small polarity and which is difficult to bond with a different material, and a rubber including Group 16 elements and/or Group 17 elements, which is a different kind of rubber. The laminate according to the present invention includes a structure including, in order, an olefin-type rubber layer (A); an adhesive resin layer (B) containing at least one selected from the group consisting of an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, a silane-modified ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer, an ethylene/acrylic acid copolymer and an ionomer thereof, and an ethylene/methacrylic acid copolymer and an ionomer thereof; and a rubber layer (C) containing Group 16 elements and/or Group 17 elements.

The processes include the steps of mixing an elastomer with a vulcanizing agent to form a vulcanizable elastomeric formulation that includes the vulcanizing agent dispersed in the elastomeric compound, wherein the vulcanizing agent includes a cyclododecasulfur compound. A process for forming a vulcanized elastomeric article is also described.

A method of producing a layer of a UV-cured silicone rubber composition on a substrate surface, including applying a primer composition to the substrate surface and hardening the primer composition followed by applying a UV-curable silicone rubber composition, and UV-curing the curable silicone rubber composition. At least one UV-sensitive crosslinking catalyst selected from compounds which initiate and promote curing of UV-curable silicone rubber compositions, is added to the silicone primer composition in any desired sequence before, during or after hardening of the silicone primer composition.

Cured transparent rubber article, and manufacturing process for the same

The present disclosure provides a process for preparing a cured transparent rubber composition containing a synthetic isoprene polymer(s), a transparent polymer(s), a curing agent and additives. The process includes mixing the components at a temperature ranging from 50 to 130° C., curing the compound with peroxide and allowing the compound to mature. The maturated compound is fed to an injection molding machine. The cured transparent rubber composition prepared using the methods described herein has a haze of less than 30% and a total light transmission of more than 80%. The disclosure further provides an article including the cured transparent rubber composition, in particular for medical applications and artificial nipples.
