COATED OILFIELD OPERATIONAL COMPONENTS AND METHODS FOR PROTECTING AND EXTENDING THE SERVICE LIFE OF OILFIELD OPERATIONAL COMPONENTS
Coating compositions for coating an oilfield operational component, and related methods, may include in some aspects a coating composition having a trifunctional silane, a silanol, and a filler. The coating composition may be applied to a surface of the oilfield operational component that is configured to be exposed to a fluid. The coating composition may be applied to at least partially cover or coat the surface. The coating composition may be configured to chemically bond with a cured primer composition that includes an epoxy.
Ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer composition, pellets, and multilayer structure
An ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer composition contains: (A) an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer including two or more types of ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymers having different ethylene structural unit contents; and (B) an iron compound; wherein the iron compound (B) is present in an amount of 0.01 to 5 ppm on a metal basis based on the weight of the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer composition. The ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer composition is substantially free from coloration and excellent in heat stability.

2K thermosetting powder coating compositions
A thermosetting powder coating composition C (PCC C) includes a physical mixture of a thermosetting powder coating composition A (PCC A) with a separate, distinct thermosetting powder coating composition B (PCC B). Also provided are processes for making the thermosetting powder coating composition C and for coating an article with the thermosetting powder coating composition C. A cured thermosetting powder coating composition C (c-PCC C) is also provided so as to obtain articles having coated and cured thereon the thermosetting powder coating composition C. Heat-curing can occur at low temperatures. The cured c-PCC C is a powder coating having at least one desirable property such as excellent resistance to swelling, good smoothness, good chemical resistance, low gloss, and/or low yellowness.

Thermoplastic Polyurethane Compositions Comprising Nitro-Substituted Polyester Diols
This invention relates to the field of polymers. More specifically, the invention comprises thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers comprising polyesters comprising nitro-substituted dicarboxylic acids that are products obtained by decomposition of polyethylene. The thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers described herein exhibit higher glass transition temperatures and higher Shore A hardness compared to thermoplastic polyurethane elastomers synthesized from similar polyester diols made from virgin monomers that do not contain nitro substitution.
